Hades' PoV:

"Remember last time we ate here?" Noah says from next to me and my eyes turn into slits when I swallow the last bits of my burger. We are eating a late lunch at Darmetir's, because the food in school is disgusting. I tried to eat it, but ever since I found a hair in it on Thursday, I just can't eat more of it than the apple. Although I'm almost a hundred percent sure that the hair was Emma's, but who knows.

"Yes, why?" I do indeed remember the last time we ate here and Emma and her friends were here too. Looking back at that time, I really didn't know how me and Emma would act when we started going to the same school again. But I guess we are pretty much the same as two weeks ago. Just because the teacher forced her to be my personal assistant, doesn't mean that we like each other again. It is actually pretty funny to get on her nerves and that's what I did the whole week. Now she's free and we don't have to interact again.

"Well, I remember this girl that didn't look at you at all. You know, the brunette one with the pretty face." He continues and I glare at him. What pills did he take? I nod for him to continue, while I shove some fries down my throat. A long break makes me curious and I look back at him and already see him smirk.

"Was that the girl you were in love with before you went to jail? Cuz I remember that face, even though two years ago it was hidden under an awful pair of thick glasses and bracelets." He says and I hear a synchronised 'ohhh' by the twins, who are seated in front of us.

"First of all, I wasn't in love with her-"

"Of course you were. Every time when we asked you to come out to do something, you said you couldn't because you were going to her place. You were acting so whipped, dude. You don't even know." Cameron interrupts me and I frown. Was I really acting whipped?

"She had you around her finger." Noah confirms and I glare at him.

"No one had me around their finger. And no I did not like her like that. She was my best friend and I was just there for her." I defend. I was a really good best friend, might I say. I know Emma since we were in Kindergarten and they don't even know half of our story.

"Whatever you say, dude. But was she that girl? She was, right? Why am I even asking. Just know that now, I totally understand why you were all about her." Noah says and I roll my eyes and punch his shoulder. He laughs and rubs his arm. I knew I wouldn't hear the end of it.

"Stop talking about her. I have to see her every day in school. Can't I enjoy my free time with my friends without having to be reminded of her?" I ask, looking at all three of them. Cameron and Brendon shrug, whilst Noah takes his time, pretending to think about it. I swear I love my best friends but sometimes they are so annoying.

"That was a rhetorical question. I wasn't literally asking you. So just drop the topic." I groan. I hate when he brings our past up. I have only told them parts of mine and Emma's friendship, but it was enough to satisfy them, I thought.

"Just like she dropped you? Or did you drop her? How did the story go again?" He smirks, knowing it would get to me. He keeps making jokes about her ever since we saw her in the club. He already knew that she was the same one from the restaurant and just asked because he wanted to bring her up. Normally it's just teasing and stuff, but he hit a spot right there.

I stand up and leave. His teasing and talking about her has reached its limit. I don't like talking about our past, because it makes me seem like the bad guy, when I just obeyed her wishes. She didn't want to see me and I respected that. And two years later she's changed so much, I almost didn't recognize her.

I hear footsteps behind me and pick up my pace, before looking back to see the guys running to catch up with me.

"Okay, I'm sorry. I won't bring her up again. Don't be mad, I was just teasing." Noah apologizes and I groan and turn to face him.
"You always say you won't bring her up again. But the next thing I know, you do. So fucking stop acting like a comedian. You're not funny and it's actually sad how much you want to know about mine and Emma's non existent relationship. I know it must be hard for you but go and get your own girlfriend. Or even go and look for a prostitute like your -" I stop talking and groan. I was about to say something I would definitely regret once I'm cooled off.
