EULOGIES FOR THE SUN

I really admire people who are able to write about things that are close to their hearts. Because that dreaded element of truth pulls forth an intimacy and relatability that is often discounted in the contemporary society. In modern times, we are asked to put our liquid-ey molten souls in the freezer, only to retrieve a block of ice. I don't know how anyone could live with that.

I would say that this collection of "words" is from me to you. But then I would be pressing a lie out through the gap between my two front teeth, and reeling in the un-truth. My youth is fast slipping through my fingers, and I'm sure at one point the sun did realise that living meant dying.

My youth is tethering on the edge of death.

So is the sun.

So instead, I will say this: these are a collection of words from me, to me. Or to put it more blatantly, these are the eulogies for a dying sun.
