She woke up screaming. I was getting really worried about her. She was the love of my life, seeing her like this was painful.
"Jax, I'm hungry," she said about ten minutes later. She tried to act like what happened, never did happen.
"What do you want babe?" I was running my hand down the side of her head.
"I want noodles," she said.
I stood up and went to the kitchen and made her ramen noodles. She lied on the couch trying to get comfortable. It's going to be a long nine months.
Kacey walked into the house. They all left to go get food for us. Everyone followed behind him.
"Avery, maybe you want to go swimming with Grace and I? It's been a while since us girls hung out with each other, same for the boys," Leah said kneeling in front of me.
"Yeah that sounds good," Avery smiled. I smiled as well, because we were all about to relax and actually be ourselves around the people we love.
*Avery's Pov*
Grace and Leah went up to my room with me and helped me look for a really cute bathing suit.
Grace held up a red bikini that I hadn't worn in a long time. I slipped my clothes off and put it on. They told me I looked like a model, but I felt like I weighed 700 pounds. I wasn't even showing yet, I didn't even have a bump. I just haven't felt good lately.
They picked out bikinis from my drawers as well. Leah wore a purple one with a clip between the cups. Grace wore a white one that had no straps, and had strings on the bottoms. We walked to the pool.
Once we were in the pool, we swam around and ended up talking about life. Disregarding all of our problems we were facing at the moment.
*Jax's Pov*
"Here," Kacey said throwing me a beer. I smiled and opened it.
"Honestly man, how are you holding up," Michael said sitting next to me on the floor.
"It's difficult, I'm not even twenty and I already feel old as hell," I sighed.
"You got her pregnant, purposely," Kacey said pointing his beer at me.
"To protect everyone. I don't want a kid, I love her and I want to be with her forever, but we've only been together for a little over two months."
They nodded and shrugged. "You'll last."
"So you and Grace?" Kacey smirked and rubbed the back of his neck.
"Damn, she's something," he laughed. "She doesn't act like it around you guys, but dude she's so freaking hot. Like, damn," Kacey said. You could see his boner from a mile away.
"We want ice cream," Leah said running down with the girls in their bikinis. Avery looked so good. Pregnant or not, she was the most beautiful girl I will ever lay eyes on.
"What are you staring at?" Avery looked down at herself self consciously. I smiled and walked to her. I wrapped my arms around her and kissed her.
"Babe, there's people here," she whispered as I traveled my lips from her mouth to her neck.
They were coughing hysterically. I smiled and kissed her forehead before looking down at her. "You're beautiful."
She smiled and held my hand. "You guys go get in the car, I have to help jax find his keys."
"We can help look," Grace said smiling.
"No honey, they got it," Kacey said winking before moving everyone out of the house.
"Are we allowed to have sex if I'm pregnant?" She laughed into my shoulder. I shrugged and picked her up and ran to my room. I love her so much.
•••••
"It took you forty five minutes to find your freaking keys," Grace sighed as we got outside.
"You guys are soaked. Did you guys look for the keys in the pool?" Michael was wiggling his eyebrows.
"Guys it gets a little hot and sweaty when looking for keys. Chill out."
When we arrived at the ice cream parlor, the girls were a giggling fit.
"I wonder what flavor Avery wants," Leah said laughing.
"Shut up guys," she said rolling her eyes. "I want a French vanilla small ice cream cone with nuts please."
"She loves nuts a lot," I said walking up behind her. She groaned and put her head in her hands. The guy that was serving her didn't know what to say.
After everyone got what they wanted, we sat outside. All together, we were family.
"To us and the summer days," Michael said raising his cone. Everyone did the same and smiled to each other.
We act happy, but we're all afraid to face the harsh reality that we keep trying to hide from.
