I wake up feeling groggy, but yank myself out of bed anyways. Off to another day in hell! Whoops. I mean school.
Not bothering to greet my mom, I race out of the house so that I won't be late for school. As I pull out of the drive I spot Mr.Wright in my rearview mirror. He must be taking Bella to school.
God bless that girl, I hope she has an easier time than me. Then again, she isn't a scraggly looking girl who's less than average when it comes to looks.
The day drags on, but I actually run into Bella quite a few times. Typically us seniors don't like the freshman but she's not too bad.
During gym we partner up and get to talking. I'm invited over for dinner. Joy.
There's something about this girl that changes my mind. The way that her face lights up makes it hard for me to say no. I really need to work on my push-over tendencies.
Once I'm home I try to make myself a bit more presentable, if that's even possible. Looking in the mirror I'm not satisfied, but there's only so much I can do.
There's only so much I can do with my muddy green eyes and too-thick muddy brown hair.
Glancing at the time I realize I'm late for dinner. I make the short walk over to the Wrights house. Before I get a chance to ring the doorbell, the door is yanked open and Mr.Wright stares down at me with his piercing blue eyes.
Damn, someone slept on the wrong side of the bed.
"Welcome" He says, I must admit that statement was not very welcoming. At all.
I slip my shoes off by the door and follow Mr.W to the dining room, taking my seat. Letting out a deep breath, I prepare myself for what's going to be a painful meal.
