Hazel's P.O.V.

I was reading the Daily Prophet on the table during dinner just before I would meet up with Cedric in the dungeons. On the cover, it said, "Teenage Tragedy Harry Potter and The Triwizard Cup".

There was a moving picture of Harry crossing his arms in the Triwizard Cup. On the back, it read,

"Harry Potter aged 12, suspect entrant in the Triwizard Tournament. His eyes swimming with the ghosts of his past and choking back tears..."

I closed the paper and crumpled it up. I couldn't read that rubbish. I stood up and grabbed my things walking to the dungeons. When I reached the classroom the door was slightly open. I pushed it open a little bit more to see Cedric already there sitting on a desk twirling his wand in his hand. He looked so handsome and laid back.

Remember Hazel, you aren't doing this to impress him. You're doing this to help him.

I pushed the door open completely. He spotted me and he smiled making me melt with happiness. I smiled back and took off my bag. I rotated my shoulder and rubbed it trying to get rid of the shooting pains from my heavy bag. I pulled out my wand from my pocket and walked to Cedric.

"So I was thinking we could duel. Not like formally just freely. It will still help you with staying on top of your game. Does that sound good?" I said nudging him with my elbow.

He nodded and walked to the other side of the room.

"Ready?" I asked.

"I was born ready."

I laughed. "1... 2... 3!"

"Expelliarmus!" Cedric yelled. He wasn't fast enough.

"Steelus!" I yelled.

It hit Cedric and he started sneezing uncontrollably. I started laughing. His sneezes were loud and continuous.

"AAAHCHOO! AAAHCHOO! AAAHCHOO! AAAHCHOO! AAAHCHOO!"

I whispered the countercurse through my laughter.

"What was that for?!" He asked.

"Well I wasn't going to use a real spell now would I? I'm using jixes."

"Ohhh... I see."

I helped him back up and we went back to the other sides of the room. "1... 2... 3! Locomotor Mortis!"

"Protego!" He blocked the spell and kept going.

"Rictusempra!"

"Expelliarmus!"

We continued on. Merlin, he's a good dueler. He blocked my next spell. I was getting frustrated.

Before I could stop myself, I yelled, "STUPEFY!"

Cedric's eyes widened and he fell to the floor. I gasped and ran over to him. You idiot, you idiot you imbecile! What the hell were you thinking!? I lifted Cedric's head and felt the new bump starting to rise. I sighed.

I put his head on my lap and leaned against the desk while I had my hand on his hair stroking it. My other hand was resting on his chest. Who knows how long we sat like that until I heard groaning from under me and looked down. Cedric was awake. I was so relieved it was like a weight was lifted in my stomach.

"Cedric! Are you alright?" I asked.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Just wasn't expecting it." He said rubbing his head. "Wait did you just call me Cedric?"

I was too busy rambling to answer. "I'm so sorry! I just was getting frustrated because you were so much better than me and you know it sorta just rolled off my tongue and once I did it I realized how much of an idiotic move that was and Merlin I am going to look back at this and facepalm." I blurted out all in one sentence. I looked down at Cedric trying to comprehend what I just said. I laughed and bent down to kiss his head.

"You good now?"

"Loads. I just think I've had enough for one day."

"Me too."

He got off my lap and stood up. We grabbed our stuff and walked out of the room.

Cedric walked me to the stairs of the dungeon. He bent down to give me a kiss on the forehead. "Goodnight Hazel" he whispered in my ear. And that's when I realized it. I loved Cedric. (A/N: SO CLICHÉ I KNOW I'M SORRY)

Cedric's P.O.V.

I walked to the dungeons nervously tapping my wand against my leg. Don't make a fool of yourself Cedric. I opened the door to the classroom and found no one in there. I dropped my stuff onto the floor with a thud and got onto the desk. Twirling my wand in my hand, I looked at the cupboard, my mind wandering. Suddenly, I heard the door open and I spotted Hazel walking in. She looked as beautiful as she always is. I smiled and she smiled back making me melt with happiness. After she put her bag down, Hazel rotated her shoulder and rubbed. It must be that heavy bag of hers... She pulled out her wand from her pocket and walked over to me.

"So I was thinking we could duel. Not like formally just freely. It will still help you with staying on top of your game. Does that sound good?" She said nudging me with my elbow.

I nodded and hopped off the desk, walking to the other side of the room.

"Ready?" Hazel asked me.

"I was born ready," I said.

She laughed. "1... 2... 3!" She exclaimed.

"Expelliarmus!" I yelled. I wasn't fast enough.

"Steelus!" Hazel yelled.

The spell hit me and I started sneezing uncontrollably.

"AAAHCHOO! AAAHCHOO! AAAHCHOO! AAAHCHOO! AAAHCHOO!"

She started laughing and whispered the countercurse through her laughter.

"What was that for?!" I asked once my sneezing receded.

"Well I wasn't going to use a real spell now would I? I'm using jixes." She said cheekily.

"Ohhh... I see." I replied as she helped me back up. We went back to the other sides of the room.

"1... 2... 3! Locomotor Mortis!"

"Protego!" I blocked the spell and as we continued.

"Rictusempra!"

"Expelliarmus!" We continued on. Merlin, she's a good dueler. I need to impress her. I blocked my her spell and I could see the anger in her eyes.

Before I could say anything she yelled, "STUPEFY!"

My eyes widened as I watched the beam of the light head towards me. It hit me and I was out like a light.

. . .

I awoke to the feeling of a hand stroking my hair with the other hand resting on my chest. I started groaning to show I was awake.

"Cedric! Are you alright?" She asked frantically.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Just wasn't expecting it." I said rubbing my head. Wait did she say Cedric? Not Pretty Boy? "Wait did you just call me Cedric?"

She was too busy trying to apologize to answer. "I'm so sorry! I just was getting frustrated because you were so much better than me and you know it sorta just rolled off my tongue and once I did it I realized how much of an idiotic move that was and Merlin I am going to look back at this and facepalm." She blurted out all in one sentence. I furrowed my eyebrows and tried to comprehend what she just said. Hazel laughed and bent down to kiss my head.

"You good now?" She asked.

"Loads. I just think I've had enough for one day." I replied tiredly

"Me too." I got off her lap and stood up, giving her hand to pull herself up. We grabbed our stuff and walked out of the room. I walked me to the stairs of the dungeon and gave her a kiss on the forehead. "Goodnight Hazel" I whispered. And that's when I realized it. I loved Hazel.
