Islam in the Proper way

In Islam, utmost respect is given to a women, to an extent that it is said that, ' a daughter is the gateway of heaven for her father, a wife completes half of the deen (religion) of her husband and heaven lies under the feet of the mother.'

The first person to embrace islam was a women- Khadijah

The first person to die for islam was a women- Sumaiyah

The greatest scholar of islam was a women- Ayesha

The person who loved the Prophet pbuh the most was a women- Fatima

Practicing PROPER islam is a hard journey which i am well aware of, especially when we live in a place where, what our religion has deemed unlawful is in the eyes of the society a very much lawful thing.

Like say showing off skin or being in a relationship before marriage.

In some cultures people find it very amusing or call us narrow minded when they see us following our religion in the best way we can.

When i was a little younger than what i am now, i used to look around and see my non muslim friends wear these short clothes and look all sexy and all that, and i used to wonder why i couldnt wear that. And why couldn't i date.

I thought freedom meant showing off cleavage and toned legs, and dateing the so called hawt guys.

But my parents would make me wear trousers under my school uniform, which was a mini dress. And made me cover my hair too. Plus i wasnt even allowed to talk to boys. Believe me it was so very frustrating.

I remember crying infront of my elder brother and telling him that i felt suffocated. That i needed freedom, and i felt like running away.

When i told him what freedoms definition according to me was, he just looked at me, and said, that darling have you ever thought why Allah ta'ala might have made things lawful and unlawful?

What all we sacrifice over here, in this life, will be given back to us in the hereafter.

The unlawful things will be lawful only for us, in the hereafter. So now would i wanna sacrifice my hereafter which is eternal to live a life which is going to end sooner or later?

The laws our religion shows us makes our lives better and meaningful.

What we have termed freedom is something that is causing a massive rise in divorce rates.

A husband wouldnt want his wife to wear revealing clothes infront of other men. Nor would a women want her man to share a work place where other women are showing off there assets. The point here is not about trusting your partner, but its about a certain limit.

People say that only when they start dating they can find 'the one',

their soul mate. But shouldnt people really do that when they are ready to get married?

Why do a person gets into a relationship when marraige is the last thing on their mind?

Womens status in islam is so huge that she is to be respected by being taken as a bride and not to be fooled around with by being taken as a girlfriend and by playing with her emotions.

A person who truely respects a women would know her worth and take her as a bride and make her lawful to him rather than committing zina ( fornication) with her.

Anyways the second reason for increase in divorce rates are the Ex's.

Somewhere along the married life atleast once, the Ex's will be remembered.
