Chapter 14

        As Edmund pulled me I noticed we were heading deeper into the forest. When we got to our destination I couldn't help but gasp for the third time tonight. In front of me was a sort of cabin like house. There were stones surrounding the railing leading towards the door and small lights covering the railing to illuminate our path.

       The cabin/house was a two story building with a balcony on its right side. And around the house there seemed to be various types of flowers on the far left of the house there was a small playground. I admired my surroundings... well as much as I could see with the light coming from the beautiful house. As I keep taking in my surroundings Edmund pulls me towards the house,

"What is this place?"

"It's a small cabin... well I guess house that my parents used in the winter to get away from everyone and have some time to themselves. But once they bought a bigger place they didn't bother coming back and instead of selling it they gave it to me."

"Oh. Well that was nice of them. But if this is small I can just imagine how big their new place is."

"It's quite big. But I usually prefer cozier homes to live in which is why I rarely stay at the pack house."

       Edmund let go of my hand and dug inside his pockets for the keys to unlock the door. He unlocked the door and motioned for me to step in first he then followed behind me and placed an arm around my lower back and bringing me closer to his side.

"You like it?"

        The inside was well lit with three white couches in the living room and two arm chairs by the stairs leading to the second floor. In the center of the living room was a small white rectangle table with a black carpet underneath it. In front of the couches was a small fireplace with a 60 in. TV above it.

"Like it. I love it." He smiled at my answer and led me towards the two seater couch and sat me down.

"Close your eyes and stay. No peaking." I smiled and closed my eyes as I hear him walk away.

       I heard shuffling in the kitchen and the pouring of liquid. I heard his footsteps approach me but kept my eyes closed. I heard him place everything on the small table in front of me. Once he was pleased with his arrangement he took a seat next to me.

"You can open your eyes now"

       In front of me were two plates with a slice of vanilla cake. The filling of the cake was a strawberry frosting and on top was a vanilla frosting with a red rose and green leaf all made of frosting. Next to the slice were two champagne glasses with a small white rose in the middle of the table.

"Wow. This all looks wonderful did you make the cake?"

"Yeah. My grandma taught me. It's my mother's favorite cake and she always loved it when I made it, so I gave it a go with you."

"Well your mother has great taste"

        We each took a slice of cake and a glass of champagne and ate while making small talk about his family. Soon the cake was gone and Edmund suggested we head to sleep. We walked upstairs and through a hallway filled with doors. At the end of the hallway was a fancy looking door with golden swirl handles. Edmund pushed the door open and revealed the room. In the middle of the room was a king sized bed with a balcony to its right, on the left was a walking closet, and next to it was a bathroom.

"Do you want to change into something more comfortable?"

"Yeah, but I have no sleepwear." I say looking down.

"It's okay you can wear something of mine" he says while walking inside the closet. He comes back with basketball shorts in his hands.

"Here this is the smallest I could find. Next time we visit I'll be sure to stock some girl clothes for you." He says while taking his shirt off and handing it towards me along with the shorts. I blush and look away from his bare chest.

"You don't have to look away. I'm yours and your mine... Go change I'll wait for you here." He says pecking my lips and heading towards the massive bed.

       I quickly scurry into the bathroom and change out of my dress and into Edmunds clothes. I take off all my makeup and put my hair into a messy bun. I do a quick check in the mirror and notice Edmunds shirt reaches all the way to my knees so I tie a not on the side. My face was the color of a tomato and my hair was stilled in a neatly messy bun. I walked outside and Edmunds eyes quickly snapped into mine. I walked towards the bed and before I knew it I was under Edmund.

"You look lovely in my clothes kitten." Edmunds thick voice make me realize Edmund was no longer in control but Xander (Edmunds wolf).

         Xander pressed his lips to my mark which made me moan with surprise. He quickly placed his lips on mine and started a heated make out session. As things started to get heated his hands traveled to the end of my shirt I froze.

"Xander" I gasp. His hands traveled up my shirt when I immediately pushed him away.

"Xander I'm not ready" I say grabbing his face and looking into his yellow eyes. His eyes were filled with lust but most of all concern and understanding. He took even breaths and soon those green eyes appeared.

                      Edmund quickly scurried away from me and put his hands in his head.

"I'm sorry I couldn't control my wolf, he missed you so much when you were gone and when he saw you in our clothes he snapped. I'm so so sorry" he says looking down in shame.

"Edmund" I say and reach towards him but he moves away. "Edmund" I say again a little louder "Look at me!"

             He does and his eyes seemed pain but most of all concerned that he had hurt me.

"I get it Edmund. You stopped which is all that matters, Now lets not ruin the night and get to bed" I say and pull him under the covers with me. I place my head on his chest and wrapped my arms around him. He stiffens for a moment but wraps his arms around my waist.

He kisses my forehead and whispers the three words that made my heart stop.

"I Love you" my heart flutters with butterflies at this and I know then and there that I love him too.

"I Love you too" I say pressing my lips to his chest and falling asleep to his heartbeat.
