Chapter 8.

Allie's POV :)

Niall and I get back in the car.

I tell him my address and he types it in into the GPS system on his phone.

While he's typing it in, I see the tattoos on his arms.

He has a lot of them.

But, they look cool.

Near his wrist he has a bird tattoo.

But, it's kinda far away from the other tattoos on his arm.

I wonder why?

As Niall looks up I turn away from him.

I hope he didn't see me looking at him.

Niall sets his phone down and starts the car.

I put the ice pack on my cheek.

My cheek feels better instantly.

"How's your cheek doin?" he asks me.

"It feels a lot better."

"Well that's good."

Niall focuses his attention back to the road.

I catch myself looking at him again.

What is wrong with me?

I try to focus my attention off of him and look out the window.

"Are you okay?" he asks me.

"Yea. I'm just thinking."

"Do you wanna talk about it?"

"No. It's okay."

He sighs. Now it's extremely awkward in here.

"Look Niall. I'm sorry that I've been snapping at you. It's just that I have a lot on my mind."

"It's fine," he says. "I can relate."

No he can't. No one can.

"Thanks for taking me to the clinic today," I tell him.

He turns and smiles at me.

"No problem."

Next thing I know, we are in front of the house or Jonah's house.

"Thanks again Niall," I say while grabbing the door handle.

I look in the driveway.

Jonah isn't back yet.

Thank God.

He would absolutely kill Niall if he saw me with him.

I hop out of the car, but before my feet touch the ground, Niall grabs my arm.

"Hey Allie. Here's my number," he says while handing me a piece of paper. "Call me whenever you need something."

He looks kinda nervous. His face is turning red.

"Okay, thanks."

I smile at him and hop out the car, and I shut the door behind me.


I walk into the house, and lock the door behind me.

I go into the bedroom and collapse on the bed.

I need to get some sleep.

Maybe I can sleep some of this pain away.
