The base was quiet for a moment as everyone had left to take the kids out. Optimus stayed behind to get somethings done while June helped Rachet. The doctor glared at the floor as the nurse tightened the brace.

"Why do I have to wear this?" He growled. June sighed in exasperation, he had asked her that about ten times now, and she was getting frustrated with him.

"Because it won't heal properly if you don't." She said as calmly as she could.

He glared at the brace and touched it hesitantly. She sighed softly and looked at the ground. June knew this was going to be hard on him and she had no idea how to make it easier. She moved around to his injured arm and gently put it in a sling. He didn't move or complain. June finished adjusting it and stood there for a moment. The nurse could sense his distress, she knew he felt limited and helpless. He quietly hung his head and slumped his shoulders. The room went quiet as he sat there.

Still standing behind him, June carefully wrapped her arms around his neck, and rested her chin on his shoulder. With his good hand, Rachet held onto her arm, and leaned his head against hers. The doctor sighed and closed his eyes. He felt tired, frustrated, and useless. How was he going to do anything with his limitations?

"Rachet..." June whispered after a while.

"Hmm...." He grunted softly. He hadn't realized he was falling asleep, and didn't really care at the moment.

"I'll do everything I can to help you." She said gently. He smiled a little and quietly sighed in relief. He felt her move and his eyes shot open, snapping him awake. She hadn't realized he had been dozing. He held on to her arm, not wanting her to leave quite yet. She smiled a little and kissed the top of his head. June made the mistake of looking at the clock.

"I have to go..." she muttered not wanting to leave. He nodded slowly but didn't let go of her arm. She stood there for a moment, then leaned down and kissed his cheek.

"I'll be back in the morning." She said. He closed his eyes again and nodded slowly. She smiled sadly and let go.

Next day.

Rachet growled angrily as he tried to undo the brace with one hand. He had a rough night and was now irritated with everything. June sighed with frustration and gently pulled his hand away for what felt like the hundredth time. She had been at the hospital all night due to an emergency, and had hardly slept before coming to help him. The two of them were at wit's end and quickly getting frustrated with the other.

"I don't want it on anymore." He growled angrily as he pushed her hand away.

"I already told you, its to help you heal properly." She snapped as she rubbed her temples in irritation.

"Now stop messing with it." She grumbled as she gently slapped his hand. He huffed and glared at her. The doctor sat at the edge of the berth as he glared at the ground. June sighed and grabbed his good arm to help him stand. He shrugged her off angrily.

"I'm fine." He snapped. She knew he wasn't but didn't want to push him.

Rachet stood up and flinched as he put pressure on his leg. He immediately started to fall and June grabbed his good arm. Once she steadied him he shrugged her off again. She huffed and put her hands on her hips as she glared at him.

"I don't need help." He growled angrily as he looked at his leg.

He shifted to move and fell to his knees as pain shot up his body. He caught himself with his good hand and tried to get back up but failed. June wanted to help but knew he didn't want any. It was hard for her to watch him struggle to get up only to fail. The brace was too awkward for him at the moment, and she knew it was hard with only one arm. He tried and failed a few more times, his good arm started shaking and she knew he was running out of energy.

After he failed to get up again, he yelled in frustration and anger. He stopped himself from falling forward with his good hand. The doctor glared at the floor as if it was the cause of all his problems. He hung his head and panted heavily as sweat ran down his face. June crouched next to him and he closed his eyes. The doctor was exhausted and he swayed a little.

"You stubborn man." June said as she wrapped an arm around his shoulders. He scoffed and smiled a little.

"When are you going to allow others to help you?" She asked and he looked at her tiredly. He sighed and hung his head again.

"Maybe this will help." They both looked up to see Raf holding a cane.

"Where did that come from?" Rachet muttered as he looked at it. The boy looked at the ground and smiled a little.

"I overheard you and June talking the other day when I was sitting with Bee. I remembered my dad had a cane cause he thought it was cool. I asked him if I could give it to a friend who needed it." Raf grinned as he looked at them. June smiled and stood up to look at the cane. Raf handed it to her and she adjusted it a little.

Rachet sighed and looked at the ground, he had no idea how he was going to get up. He suddenly felt little hands grab his arm. The doctor looked over as Raf set his arm over his shoulders. The boy grinned at him as he held onto his sleeve. The doctor smiled a little, June walked behind him and helped him up. She let go when he was steady and stood in front of him as she handed him the cane. The doctor hesitated as he stared at it.

"It's okay." Rachet looked at the boy and realized he was still holding onto his arm.

"We won't let you fall again." Raf said as he smiled. The doctor smiled tiredly and slowly let go of the boy. He gripped the cane and cautiously took a step. He stumbled as his leg gave out. Raf and June held on to him so he wouldn't fall.

"You may need to rest first." June said as he straightened up. "You kind of wore yourself out from trying early." She said. He nodded tiredly and she helped him sit back on the berth. He sighed heavily and leaned against the wall. June sat next to him as she adjusted the sling.

"Raf do you think you can get some water out of the kitchen?" She asked as she fiddled with the strap. The boy nodded and ran off. About five minutes past before he came back.

"Okay I got the-" he stopped and smiled when he saw them.

June was resting her head on Rachets shoulder, and he was resting his head on hers. They were holding hands and had fallen asleep that way. Raf grinned again and quietly left the room.

Side note. I just wanted to say that when you break your leg, its one of the most frustrating things ever.

Just saying. :)
