When I woke up in the morning, I wished to be able to sleep more.
But sadly, I had to get up.
Getting ready for school is a struggle. It's boring, tiring, and so much beyond that.
And to make it worse, my feet hurt so badly.
I walked on the soft carpet floors of my room and passed my window.
I know I know I know, I shouldn't look out there.
But you know that gut feeling you get when you know you shouldn't do something but you do it anyway?
Yeup.
Thas what I did.
Surely enough, Kevin was standing there.
He looked dumb daddy good, I can't even front. He just flashed me an award winning smile, showing his gap. His smile can melt any girls heart.
I rolled my eyes and turned away so he couldn't see my smile. All I could hear as I returned to getting ready was his loud ass laugh. (A/N: ya know just what laugh I talking about 💀 that loud ass laugh Kevin always does in younows😭)
I quickly got dressed in a mid thigh black dress with short sleeves.
After completing myself, I grabbed my book bag and headed downstairs.
I thought to grab breakfast but thought against it. I can't risk being late.
Sure. Call me a goody-two-shoes.
I walked outside after slipping on my adidas superstars and began my trip to hell.
I walk basically everyday. I don't know why. I just do.
My feet still hurt and the wind blew my hair in all different directions.
Why? Why must life hate me?
After angrily walking a bit more down the cracked sidewalk, I got the sense j was being followed.
I turned around immediately only to see no one in my line of vision.
I continued walking. It was probably nothing, though I could be wrong. Then again, I could be right.
Then I heard footsteps.
Aight someone is behind me.
I spun around and still saw no one.
As I swung my head back around someone jumped at me.
"Boo!" they yelled and I screamed bloody murder. I swear people in Africa heard me. It was one of those screams where on TV they show birds flying out of trees and cawing loudly.
That was my scream.
"Devin?! What the hell my guy!" I punched his shoulder, though it didn't phase him much.
"I'm sorry babe," he laughed.
"Oh shut up. Never do that again." I crossed my arms and bit my bottom lip to contain the smile etching onto my face.
"No promises," he smirked.
"Devin! Never. Again." I stated.
"Aight I won't do again under one condition," he smiled.
By now I was walking forward and he was facing me but walking backwards.
"Wassup?" I shook my head but grinned in his direction.
"Chill with me this Friday. It won't be just us but I mean we could get to know each other. It's kinda a party, with all my friends. There's gonna be girls too though," he rushed out.
"Aight," I smiled looking down and shaking my head.
By now we were so close to the school, I could practically feel the boredom.
"Aye lit!" he smiled showing his teeth and unexpected backing into a pole.
I burst out laughing.
"Great. See you around," he said and walked off. I couldn't get the image of his cute face and smile out of my mind. I couldn't help but smile.
I still remained smiling when I got to my group of friends.
"What's got you so cheesed, B?" Aurora winked.
"I just got asked out," I grinned. "So I'm cancelling any plans we have this Friday."
Becca rolled her eyes but still smiled. "Fine."
"You guys are da best," I exclaimed.
"Yeah, sure. Wait, who asked you out? Was it Kevin! Ahh it was Kevin!" Cassidy screamed.
They all began to chatter and question me various things like "How did it happen? I didn't know y'all were a thing! Where are you going? Are you dating?"
"Guys," I began but was closed out by their endless chirping. "Guys." I said a bit louder this time. Once again. No luck. "Guys!!!" I screamed.
They looked at me with confused faces. "What do you want Bethany?" Rebecca asked.
"Chiiilll it wasn't even Kevin." I rolled my eyes.
"Then who?" Asked Alyssa.
"Devin," I responded and folded my arms.
"Ayee I see Bethany likes chocolate papi," Aurora winked.
"Okay bye!" I hollered and turned around, only to run into someone.
"Sorry I didn't mean- Kevin. Hi." I blush.
"Fancy seeing you here," he winked.
"It's school?" I said with a obvious voice.
"You're going to that party with Devin right?" He asked looking annoyed.
"Yeah, why?" I stated.
"I'll be there too. With my date." he smirked. That stupid, annoying, dumb, adorable, small, attractive- wait. Dumb, annoying, stupid smirk. That's it.
"I thought ya weren't friends." I responded.
"Oh nah we are. He just wants me away from you. But sadly, I get what I want, and what I want, is you babyyy," he smiled. (A/N: ya should know the way kev says "you baby" by now so just play his voice in your mind as you read this part😂)
I couldn't help but blush and thank the lord that the bell rang when it did.
I stuttered a quick goodbye and ran to class.
He wants me?
