Chapter 73

"Gio, what are you doing here!?" I whisper yelled.

If anyone found he's here now, all hell is going to break loose now. This is not good.

"I believe I was invited for dinner" Gio said kissing my cheek. "Am I too late?"

I opened my mouth and closed it about ten times unsure of what to say or how to react or anything. I'm just in a state of shock right now.

"Are you- are you out of your mind?" I said in a panic voice. "First you said you'd call and then you left me worried for hours and now you show up here?"

"Sorry about that, after we caught up with Julian Snakes managed to ran and we've been out searching for him since and then my phone died" Gio replied.

"He escaped? Oh no,that's so... everything is just... Gio you can't be here" I said placing my hands on his chest trying to push him back. "Dominic's here and so is my dad and if they know..."

"So the whole family that's great" Gio replied. "And I thought you said I was invited to dinner, your dad wanted to meet the boyfriend?"

"Yes he did but he doesn't know that its you. I only told you that because you were in a bad mood, I was trying to lessen the tension I didn't think you'd show up" I said to him.

"Well I did and besides I think its about time your folks know we're back together" Gio replied.

"Well I don't, I shouldn't be dating you after everything that has happened and Dominic swore he'd kill you if you ever came near me again" I said to him. "Do you have any idea how bad this is gonna be if he find out your here? You have to go".

" Lexi, you're an adult, you should act like it. You're free to date who you want and shouldn't have to hide it. Besides I don't want to be your dirty little secret, I don't make you mind " Gio said seriously. "I'm sick of you having to sneak around and lie just to see me, and whenever I want you to stay over you have to be coming up with excuses like a damn child".

" Gio that's not fair" I said to him feely slightly hurt by what he said even though I know its the truth.

"What's not fair is you having to be hiding how you really feel and scared because you're afraid of what your family is going to think or do. You're an adult, you should stand up and act like one" Gio replied. "You said your dad wanted to meet your boyfriend and wanted you to invite him to dinner? Well here I am, no better time to get this out and over with".

" Gio I... " I started to say but a voice coming up behind me cut me off.

"Lexi, what's taking you so long? Whose at the ...door?" Mom trailed off seeing Gio standing there in front of me.

"Mom I..." I started saying as I turned around before stopping not sure what else to say.

"Uhm...hi" mom said equally surprised to Gio. "Mr.Cavelli?"

"Good evening Mrs.Luciano" Gio nodded smiling slightly. "Please, call me Gio"

Mom looked to me for answers then back at Gio still surprised. I bit my lip sheepishly not knowing what to say. I know my current actions had answered any questions mom might have had. It was obvious that Gio and I were seeing each other once again.

"Uhm, right sure" mom said shaking her head quickly as if to get rid if her shock state. "So what brings you here Gio?"

"I believe I was invited to dinner ma'am, Lexi here told me that here family wanted to meet her boyfriend" Gio responded.

"I didn't thought you'd actually showed up" I tried to argue.

"So you guys are back together?" Mom asked.
