Max so badly wanted to run and go comfort his friend. He didn't mean to hurt him. He decided to just leave him be, for now at least. He left the nurses office and went to class. He tried to do his classwork but he just simply couldn't focus. The teacher called Max to meet him outside of the classroom. He asked what was bothering him. Max didn't tell him the truth and felt horrible about it but he couldn't let anyone know. He told him he was just daydreaming. Max was able to go back to class. Luckily the teacher believed him. It was now time to leave school. He sat with Luke. He was happy he was back on the bus. Luke's stop was before Max's. Max knew where he lived because he passed by multiple times and saw him in his yard. He however wouldn't go over because of Josh. There was an awkward silence until it was time for Luke to get off the bus. He got up, but as he was getting up he dropped something out of his pocket. He walked off the bus as usual. Max picked up what he dropped. It was an envelope, it had Max's name on it. Assuming it was meant for him, he opened it. Clearly Luke left it on purpose, Max was oblivious to this fact as he opened the letter. Inside it was something he never expected.
