“Fridays are such lovely days,” Marnie sighed as we plopped down at the cafeteria table for lunch on Friday.

“Agreed,” Karen nodded. “Very lovely. Except for the fact that we have a competition tomorrow, so practice is going to bust our balls tonight.”

“Fridays are such awful days,” Marnie groaned, resting her head on the table just to strengthen her pity party statement.

I laughed and rolled my eyes at her. “Oh, lighten up, Marnie, you’ll be okay.”

She shook her head at me but didn’t even look up from the table. “No, dance is literally going to kill me someday, I know it. Just one of these days, I’m going to spontaneously fall to the ground never to wake again and it will all be Bradford’s fault.”

“That’s dramatic. You’ve been in dance for three years, I’m sure you can get through one more.” I informed her.

“I’m coming down with a strong case of senioritis, Kota, and it’s incurable,” She informed me with a devastated frown. “So yes, it can be very fatal.”

“That’s not very optimistic,” I chuckled just as Todd arrived from the lunch line with his tray of food. He sat down beside me because we’d agreed that we would eat at my table for today and maybe next week and then we could like, alternate which table we sat at or something so that we didn’t have to be away from our friends all of the time. He kissed my cheek as he sat down, which made me blush a little bit and all four other girls at the table cooed loudly, which made me blush even more.

“No PDA,” I reminded him lightly.

“I forgot,” He informed me sheepishly before leaning forward and kissing my lips. “I forgot again.”

“Stop it,” I giggled, taking one of his fries because I knew that he wouldn’t yell at me for it (the sophomore fiasco gave me the privilege of taking anybody’s food at any time because at least I’m eating)and gobbled it down before toning back into Marnie and Nikki’s conversation about the deathly practice we should endure that night.

“Oh no, don’t mind us,” Marnie smirked.

“See? They don’t mind,” My boyfriend teased me goofily.

I mind,” I giggled, because I giggled a lot now that Todd was my boyfriend and everything, I had a lot of reasons to be giggly.

“You guys really are so adorable,” Karen commented giddily. “It just makes me so happy to see you two finally together.”

“Finally?” I wondered in confusion. “What do you mean?”

“I’ve just always shipped you,” She grinned, tapping away at her phone absentmindedly.

I rolled my eyes at her. “That’s incredibly stalker-ish of you, I hope you know that, Karen.”

Todd had his arm draped over my shoulders loosely, pulling me into his warm side, which felt really nice and it was also kinda funny to watch him attempt to eat his pizza with only one hand, especially because it was his left hand and he’s right handed.

“Oh please,” She snorted. “We’ve all thought it at least once.”

“That’s true,” Alexis and Nikki both piped at the same time.

“It’s a bit true, but I was more on Caleb’s side for a while there,” Marnie laughed. “I’m all for you now, though, Todd.”

“Good to know,” He chuckled with his mouth still kinda full with pizza which was gross, but he was a guy and I was used to guy stuff, hanging around my brother and all of his friends all of the time.
