Chapter 38 - A Fleeting Rest

I send Kasumi a message and a few days later we go on a date..

I wait for her in our meeting place..

"Mina !" 

Kasumi run towards me , she's come straight from class..

"Mina , i'm sorry , did you have to wait long ?"

"No..i just got here , it's fine..."

"Really ? , that's a relief.."

Our gaze meet and we suddenly become self conscious...

"ahahaha..it's been a while since we've gone out on a date.."

"Hehe , we haven't in ages have we ?"

"Okay ! let's have much fun as we can then !"

" Sure !" she smiled sweetly..

We start walking , excited for our date...

"Ah...."

Kasumi , suddenly stopped on her tracks doesn't move , her face becomes red and she hesitates her eyes darts to my hands..

(ah...don't tell me...)

she stares at me silently eagerly waiting for something..

"Kasumi...if you'd like , shall we, hold hands ?"

"...uhm..."

however our meeting place is full of other people around us..

(M-maybe we can't , she get embarrassed about doing things like that in front of other people..)

but then...

*squeeze*

"Huh ?"

her face turning red Kasumi grabs my arms..

"K-Kasumi ?!"

"Uhm...i don't want to hold hand , let's link arms and walk..."

(i don't get her sometimes , isn't arms linking's a bit intimate compare to holding hands , i mean she's so close to me...)

"H-huh ?"

"W-what you don't want to ?" she ask worriedly

"N-no i love to , it's fine but , the other day you said you feel embarrassed doing things like this in front of other people .."

"Y-yeah..B-but .."

Kasumi whispers as her face becomes redder and redder...

"Not being able to see you at all lately ....makes me , really miss you..."

(Wow she , miss me ?)

"T-that's why today....i want to be like this..with you..."

Seeing Kasumi acts like this , makes me really happy..i mean she's always been so reserved but now she's a bit assertive..i like it..

"O-okay let's link arms..."

"Y-yeah !" she smiled gleefully..

"Teehee ."

(!! oh my god , she's so cute !!)

Somehow i feel like today's date , would be the best date ! ever !!

I turn to face Kasumi and my heartbeat sky rocketed 

"Okay !! Let's go !!"

"Yeah !!" 

And we start our date ..we walk around leisurely our arms linked the whole time ..and then

"....ah that's right Mina ! i - i have somewhere i want to go today ...is it okay ?"
