one year later

nova's pov-

we sat on the couch together my feet resting in his lap as he traced random shapes on my legs as i watched the power puffs and

you are never

ever

ever

too old for the power puff girls

it's been a year since he marked me and personally I wanted to mark him

really badly

but I just didn't have the guts to do anything like that

the thought of sinking my teeth into my soul mate, and by now i feel the pull, potentially hurting them i couldn't bring myself to put him in any pain

we don't sleep in the same bed

or, well, we haven't for a year now

christ (A/N sorry all you christens out there) we don't even sleep in the same room, it's just after that

what he did

i was still that little bit cautious

i felt his eyes on me and i tore myself away from bubbles and buttercup to look at him his eyes were full of love and adoration a look that he always gave me and one i hoped i returned full force he went to say something but the pack house doors the ones located behind us were thrown open with enough force to knock an elephant off balance i turned to see a red headed lady walk through the door covered in heavy makeup that id nothing to cover up the long deep crease lines on her face

"daniel darling" the lady said as she saw my mate "i've missed you so much"

"claire?" daniel said questioningly as he looked at her i pulled my legs towards myself and he got up moving to her "what are you doing here?" he sounded angry and a little uncomfotable

claire threw her arms around daniels neck pulling him closer to her so her face was close to his neck nuzzling where i would mark him

"I still remember our nights together" she said in a voice that she thought was quiet and seductive

I felt something bubble inside me but I ignored it pushing it away does this cow have a nose he's clearly covered from head to foot in my scent my possessive wolf made sure of that good morning snuggles were not just for fun

"but I know that we must be mates my dear"

and suddenly I was up off the couch shoving the slut back she staggered a few paces back as my arms wrapped around daniels waist protectivly as I was watching in third person

"MINE!" I growled quietly and even with her werewolf hearing she didn't notice i gritted my teeth my face scunched up as I tried to control my anger glaring daggers at claire who backed away then smiled

"such a clingy child" she said making a shooing motion with her hands "you're not needed here now let the luna and the alpha talk" she told me

I saw red growling something vitiouse I looked up  at daniel

"nova?" he asked looking down at me Ishook my head

"keira"

"oh" he said "keira can I have nova back please?" she shook her head
