'No one will ever believe this.'

Bellamy must have drifted off, as he woke up dazed and disoriented to find Miller staring at him, mumbling under his breath.

'What?' Bellamy's voice was raspy from lack of use, and his neck was stiff from the odd angle it had been at.

Miller almost jumped in surprise. 'Oh hey, Bellamy, you're awake.' Miller shuffled nervously.

Bellamy gave him a strange look as he felt Brinley shift on him, cuddling closer to his chest. Bellamy smirked down at her knowing that even though they didn't get along, her body still reacted to his closeness.

Miller watched the two carefully, he was convinced there was something between the two, even if neither of them seemed to act on or even realise it. He'd seen it in the way Bellamy had reacted when Brinley passed out and he was seeing it again now as he smirked down at her sleeping form as her hands reflexively gripped onto his shirt.

Brinley was warm, and comfortable for the first time in a long time. She hadn't been plagued by nightmares and the constant threat of danger for the first time since they'd landed on the ground. Brinley was well rested for once and she smiled slightly to herself as she slowly woke up.

'Good sleep, sweetheart?'

Brinley's eyes opened wide at the voice that seemed to come from underneath her and she jumped backwards, blinking sleep out of her eyes as she realised why she was so comfortable and why the voice seemed so close.

Bellamy Fucking Blake.

'What the hell?'

Bellamy laughed at her expression.

'What happened?' Brinley put as much space between herself and her least favourite Blake as possible.

Bellamy's amused expression disappeared. 'You were poisoned.'

'Poisoned?' Brinley caught the grounders watchful eye and she paled. 'Oh.'

'Yeah, oh.'

'You scared the shit out of us.' Miller piped up and Brinley looked up at him.

'How's Finn?'

'Alive.'

'Good.'

'Did you talk to the Ark?' Bellamy looked at Miller.

'I told Digg's Mum the news, John's dad. I'm supposed to talk to Roma's parents later.'

'Thanks for doing that. I owe you.' Bellamy had moved to sit on one of the crates lying around and Brinley had pulled herself against the wall that Bellamy had been occupying.

'You're letting them communicate with the Ark?' Miller and Bellamy didn't miss the dread seeping into her voice.

'Yeah, not just talking through a radio though. They're video chatting.' Bellamy ground his teeth together.

'Oh.' Brinley's voice was small.

'Telling all these parents that their kids were murdered by grounders. I wish I could say we were getting some justice.' Miller spoke, taking Bellamy's attention off of Brinley.

'We're not killing him.' Bellamy said tiredly.

Milled picked up a handful of berries. 'You were a lot scarier when you had that face paint on.' Miller slapped the berries across the grounders face. The grounder promptly retaliated, head butting Miller.
