Buttons and a contest

So this was a creepy little cursed doll I came up with at a dark time. It steals the soul of anyone who doesn't love it and anyone who mistreats it's owner of the owner loves it. There will be a contest later on in the chapter so you have to read through it all.
Pretty much I came up with it as a way of revenge on the person who was the reason he died. If you didn't know he overdosed, don't do drugs guys, and this little thing was meant to steal the dealer's soul. I was pretty depressed on the inside then but you guys saved me from that feeling.
It was made by a doll maker and someone put a curse on it, that made it steal the souls of the bad. "Bad" wasn't defined and it backfired on the person ending up with Buttons stealing their soul. The doll then was passed around with no one loving it. The doll made its own definition of bad, anyone who didn't love it. Eventually a 13 year old girl, who had just lost her brother got it. She left it at home when she went to school but when she got home she would talk to it, and named it Buttons. Buttons would then go out when everyone was asleep and steal the soul of whoever mistreated the girl.
Buttons has button eyes, and buttons on the joints of her wings, so where they bend there's one on either side there. The thread used to stitch the buttons on was a dark blue. The fabric is very worn, and obviously torn. The wings used to shimmer but no longer do.
    Now the contest, it's a cover for the book that I make for Buttons. The title will be "Something Entirely New...and Strange". Whoever enters get a Shoutout in the book and their art featured in a chapter. First place, I use your beautiful cover, and you get a full body request. Second place, so close, but anyways you get a half body request. Third place, your still one of the top three, you get a head shot. But like I said everyone's entries will be used in the book and also everyone gets a shoutout in the chapter featuring their art. Good luck. Tell me if you join.
