Christmas special

I heard little feet drop off the bed and hurried patter to the door and then a gasp before she jumped back on to the bed and whispered excitedly in my cheek

"Daddy! Daddy! Santa filleded up my stocking!"

I still had my eyes closed but I was smiling, I had been awake for half hour waiting for Clara to wake up just to see her reaction to 'Santa' coming to visit. "Daddy!" She cried shaking me now "wake up!"

I snapped open my eyes and quickly grabbed her into a bear hug and holding her tightly "Merry Christmas, Princess!"

She pushed away from me "Daddy, there are presents for me" she whined

I gave her a mock shock look "you don't want to have a Christmas hug with Daddy?"

"Presents!" She gave me pleading eyes

"Fine" I sighed heaving out of bed and taking the very full stocking up

She squealed with excitement "do you think Santa eated the cookies we mades?" Clara looked at me with wide eyes

"I bet he loved them" I smirked; 'Santa' defiantly loved them!

"Daddy! I gots sweeties!" Clara threw a packet of sweets that she had just opened in my face

"Oh wow! Lucky!" I said enthuasticly.

She un wrapped all of her presents in under five minutes; I didn't know whether to be impressed or worried...

"I got a tinara! Look Daddy! I can be a princess!" The smile on her face was amazing; I don't think I have seen her so excited!

"Well you are my princess, so of course you have a Tiara" I smiled

"Does my tinara look pretty?" She asked me as she put it on her head

"Its tee-ar-ra Clara" I laughed at her miss pounce of words, she looked at me annoyed that I had corrected "but you look very pretty" I poked her forehead

"Can we go downstairs and open presents?" She hopped off the bed

"Not till after dinner, you know the rules" I laughed as she made a face

"Dinner isn't till ages away, please Daddy!" She begged me, giving me the puppy dog eyes. I looked away before I agreed! Her new DVD caught my eye

"No way! Barbie and the nutcracker?!" I tried to distract her, holding up the film. "Shall we watch it?" I nodded at her trying to get her to agree

"I loves Barbie!" She jumped up and down excitedly.

We headed downstairs "wow" Clara looked around the front room that me and Mom had decorated and put all the presents under the tree. "Look Daddy! Santa did eated the cookies! And Raphdolf eated the carrot!" She ran over to the plate and I decided not to correct her on Rudolf’s name. She gasped "Look Daddy! A letter! Santa lefted me a letter!" She unfolded the letter "Dear Clara" she started and then looked at me "read it Daddy!" She held it out to me
