Third p.o.v

please let,

Jungkook's heart jumped, the same heart of his that Jimin had gripped two years ago when he had saved him.

His Jimin had remembered him.

"K-kookie?"

Tears sprung to Jungkook's eyes as he shakily nodded and cupped Jimin's warm, soft cheeks. Jimin's smile spread and he wrapped his arms around him, taking in the sweet scent of the male and shivering against the cold breeze of mid November.

The cloudless day didn't dare interrupt the finally established juncture of not two men, but two souls.

Because in that moment, they were just two humans who held onto the hope that amidst November's breeze in this secluded park of blues and pinks, they held onto the hope just like the desperation that flourished in those arms,

that forever existed.

"Two caramel machiatos, please."

The cashier ringed up their order and within mere minutes, they were settling inside a small booth, in front of each other. The scent of fresh coffee brewing filled the beautiful aroma, romanticising the stolen stares of the two boys.

Jungkook blushed as their knees grazed and bit his lip to try and not scream. Jimin as well noticed this contact and winked at the younger which sent the opposite clenching his fingers.

They both drank their coffee silently and stared out the window beside them. Mid November was catching on very quickly with the cold weather and there were more dead leaves than red and orange ones hanging on swaying branches.

Soon, December's winter would be here and Jungkook stared at the liquid in his cup as he remembered how he couldn't spend spend the first snow with Jimin two years ago.

But he was here now. They were together now.

Nothing could separate the two males from catching snowflakes on their tongues and kissing each other's lips as they would, one day, lie together in bed and watch the snow swirl outside their bedroom window.

Everything was perfect.

Jimin, although, felt a little troubled by the sudden string of emotions he was feeling. The memories that he suddenly remembered made him feel as if he was putting the younger on edge.

But Jungkook didn't mind. He didn't mind that even though the many questions he had been dying to ask the older once he'd remember;

why'd you leave me two years ago?

why didn't you come back earlier to me?

why didn't you try to contact me?

why didn't you pick up my calls?

But that was all okay because they were together now and Jungkook was sure that even fate couldn't separate the two.

So when Jungkook sipped his coffee and had gotten cream smeared on the tip of nose, Jimin chuckled and leaned in, wiping the cream off himself, and leaned back,

but not before pecking the tip of his Kookie's blushing nose.

Jimin p.o.v

Forever exists,

forever exists in the spaces we fill between our fingers with each others',

forever exists when I tell the world you're mine and you get confused and ask why I whispered it to you instead,

but baby, it's because you are my world.

Forever exists as you patiently wait for me to remember what comes after five thousand nine hundred and fifty three, the years I want to spend with you for the rest of my existence,

forever exists when you rub slow circles on my back as I break down for the thousandth time because I can't remember how old you and I are,

but forever really exists when I place my lips on yours and promise to God silently that I'll protect you and love you no matter how old our bodies get, no matter how younger our hearts get.

Because unlike time, love can't be measured.

It can't be measured for you and I have met after years and years of making memories that we're supposed to reminisce over a cup of coffee, over a cup of tea,

as you tell me how you and I had shared our first kiss,

as I stare at you and think,

try to think,

of a memory of us.

But it's too bad that I can't do the same.
