♫ Remember Me ♫

The moonlight shone upon Natsu and Lucy as they lay calmly on the grassy hill. Natsu's hands were placed behind his head, resting his nape on his palms. Lucy just smiled happily at the sky, her hands having the urge to be intertwined with his warm hands. She slowly hesitated, reaching over to tap him, but she reeled her hand back, resting it on her stomach.

"So how was the meeting?" Natsu asked to start a conversation.

"Well, normally we'd go over the basics of our upcoming games, not like you're unfamiliar with it." Lucy shrugged. Natsu turned his head to look at Lucy, noticing the different color of her jersey.

"What do you mean?" Natsu narrowed his eyes at her. She then turned to face him, a blush arising both of their cheeks as Lucy just smiled it off, her eyes gleaming.

"I'm the new team captain." Lucy said with pride. Natsu got up from his reclined position and was shocked at her response.

"What?!" Natsu screamed with excitement, his grin growing wide. Lucy couldn't help but laugh at his childish expression, but also swoon at his pure joy.

"But, Melissa—"

"Erza apparently demoted her."

"Good, because she's a bi—"

"Natsu, don't even say it." Lucy placed smacked his shoulder. He pouted and laid back down with Lucy and just grunted.

"Come on, you know she is one." Natsu scoffed as Lucy couldn't help but agree with Natsu. But Melissa, was her teammate and she's not the type to call them out like that.

"So how is it with you?" Lucy asked, as if she hadn't seen Natsu in years. Natsu looked at her weirdly, not understanding why she'd ask him such a question.

"What are we strangers now, Luce?" Natsu joked as Lucy rolled her eyes, sending him a look of disbelief.

"No, I meant yesterday." She muttered quietly. Natsu glanced at the giant box next to him, as Lucy took note of what he was referring to.

"I'm guessing the box is suppose to mean what you did yesterday?" Lucy smirked.

"In a way, yeah; while you were practicing your kicks, I went out and bought something." Natsu's cheeks colored a dark red.

"Seems like a big box for a big purchase." Lucy hinted at the item. Natsu tugged the scarf to his cheeks, averting eye contact with her suspicious orbs examining his every motion and words.

"I guess you could say that," He mumbled through his scarf, "And did you really go out to practice your kicks?"

Lucy nodded feebly, clanking her cleats back and forth, "Yeah I was. Usually when I'm in a bad mood I like to kick a ball around, I don't know, to let off steam. It mostly calms me down." Lucy eyed the grass beneath her feet with a sad gaze. Natsu then reached to grab her hand, his warmth wrapping around her skin as he rubbed small circles over her knuckles.

"Yeah, I understand." As if he noticed her gloomy expression. Lucy scooted towards his body heat, wanting to be intimate in contact. Natsu felt his heart flutter, knowing that Lucy wanted to cuddle up closer to him.
