We sat in the car just outside of the mansion, crowbars in hand and a duffle bag at my feet.
"You ready?" I asked my partner who was nervously eyeing up the towering 'house'.
"Are you sure we should do this in daylight?" He shifted uncomfortably from side to side, balancing the weapon in the palms of his hands.
"Yeah practically no ones home." Placing a hand on his shoulder reassuringly, hauling the duffle bag over my shoulder, I hopped out of the car. Effortlessly vaulting the 8ft gate, I landed on the gravel of the driveway with a thud.
angel followed in hot pursuit as i approached the multimillion home.
"Now the aim is to make sure there are no signs of our break in. So the crowbars are just a emergency incase some one is home." I explained, pulling out my lock picking set.
"Are you telling me you didn't check if anyone was home?" The assassin screeched in my ears. My poor ears. God that boy has a set of lungs on him.
"Uh, briefly..." I trailed off, laughing awkwardly before setting to work on the door lock, crouching against the door. my focus on the extremely delicate door. Lock blocked out the tireless tirade being spouted from my partner.
A satisfied click sounded out from the door I was working on. Swinging open, it revealed a room large enough to be classified as a ballroom. It's cliche crystal chandelier hanging from an ancient ceiling.
"What is your business here, thieves?" An commanding voice calmly questioned. Angel and I swivelled round in panic, only to come face to face with the lady and owner of the mansion, accompanied by a rather elderly fellow dressed in a tailored suit (probably a butler).
Angelo nudged me expectantly and I stepped forward, finally finding confidence to form the words.
"We are here to avenge the death of a girl that is on your daughter's hands." Expecting an uproar and to be thrown out of the mansion.
Until the most crazy thing happened.
"Of course. Wilfred, could you please escort the lady and gentlemen to lady Rachelle's room." Our jaws almost touched the floor as the middle aged blond smiled wholeheartedly.
...
Speechless, I hoisted the duffle bag over my shoulder, unable to fathom what just happened.
"Oh and dears once you're done do come and join us for some tea and my own homemade curry!" The woman hollered after us, I did a breathless nod with a slight reluctant smile.
Hesitantly, we followed the butler up the pearl staircases and into a room. It's sheer size almost made me faint.
1 word.
Pink.
Everywhere, other than one white wall everything, I mean EVERYTHING was pink!
"Uh I thanks?" Angel stuttered, unsure how to address the butler. He offered a friendly smile back at the young assassin, displaying his laughter lines before disappearing out of the room.
"What... Was that?" I reluctantly approached thee wardrobe, flinging the doors open to show a walk in wardrobe with rows and rows of designer clothing.
"What was that you were saying? No one home? You CHECKED?????" Angel fumed, pacing around the creepily pink room.
" alright alright, I'm sorry, let's just do this fast." I tossed him some orange spray paint.
Let's get to work.
