When he got out of the hospital he called Jefferson because he needed to tell someone about all this, about how now seeing Emma made him realize... he had never stopped loving her.

"You could just be missing the feeling of loving her."

"I... maybe. But she's different now, Jeff."

"She has a kid. Killian, you know what you're getting into, right? Inviting her to come live with you?"

"I am going to help her. No matter what happens. I just wish I could tell what she's feeling, I just can't. It's so bloody frustrating, Jeff."

"Do you know what happened to the baby's father?" Elsa joined the conversation as they drank coffee after their meal.

"He set her up to a crime she didn't commit. He left her."

"Do you think she still loves him?"

"That's the thing. I don't know."

"Well, Killian, you've come to the right place. Here bro Jeff's gonna tell you how you do it." Jefferson said, sitting down at the table in front of him, his elbows resting on the table and his fingers interlacing in front of him, in what seemed like a more serious posture.

"Nah-ah. Jeff, careful. This might end badly. For her."

"Elsa, how do you think I won your heart? I know what I'm talking about." Killian smirked at Elsa, because he had a point. "Killian, one word: jealousy."

"Oh no. No, no, no, no. That's the worst thing you can do to a girl. Killian, don't listen to him."

"Look, it's just to speed up things. You wanna know if she still feels something for you, right? Get a girl and do it loudly. You live in the same damn house!"

"Jeff, I don't think..."

"Killian, Jeff's wrong..." The couple shared a look before she corrected herself. "this time. If she loves you, she'll get hurt. And even if she doesn't, you'll be using an innocent girl for this. Someone will get hurt in the end."

"It could be just a one night stand, no hard feelings." Jeff keeps defending his idea.

"I... I haven't had anyone since Emma."

"Wait a fucking minute, are you telling me you haven't had sex in 5 years?!"

It was like Emma was irreplaceable. And even with everything that was going on with his brother's cancer... He just couldn't. He had tried, of course. Once or twice. But it only made him feel guilty.

"I just can't."

"Man, do you even know what a boner is? That ain't healthy!"

"Jeff!" Elsa stopped him. "Killian, I think that's really meaningful. You really love her, you always have."
