I was sitting on the comfortable couch watching telly when I heard someone opening the door. I knew that it was Mycroft so I did not look up when someone entered the room. Instead of looking up I stared at the telly and the beautiful landscape that it showed me. Just like I thought, Mycroft came in. 'Good evening, my dear.' I saw that he smiled sweetly but then looked at the TV again. 'Hi Mycroft.' I said, still hypnotised by the screen.

Mycroft sat next to me and looked at the landscape that appeared on the TV. 'Dover?' He asked. 'Yes, Dover. Isn't it weird that we don't live very far from it but we have never been there?' I asked and turned my head to look at him. 'Indeed it is. And I suppose that you would like to go there, judging by your obsessive staring.' He said and I simply nodded. 'Look at that, Mycroft.' I said and pointed at the screen. 'Those white cliffs, aren't they beautiful? I suppose that the view would be wonderful from up there, don't you think? Wouldn't it be nice to be there? I just can't get enough of it.' I imagined me standing on that cliff and looking down upon the sea, of course I would do the Titanic up there. I've always loved different landscapes and other cities with their culture. And we lived in London which is pretty close to Dover, and yet I had never been there.

'So you want to go there?' Mycroft asked. 'Yes, really badly.' I answered. 'Then, why don't we go there tomorrow? I'll take a day off and we'll go.' He smiled at me with a kind look in his eyes. He knew that I have always loved landscapes and I really appreciated it that he liked to come with me. 'Really?' I asked and was so happy when I saw him nod.

'But then you should turn the telly of now. The view would be less special if you've already seen it.' He said grinning and I turned the TV off almost immediately. Mycroft laughed his adorable laugh and put one arm around me. He pushed me softly against him while he still laughed and I laughed with him. 'I can't wait till tomorrow!' I said and Mycroft suddenly looked at me sternly, but still a gently smile decorated his face. 'I noticed. I hope that you know that you'll have to get up early if you want to be there in the morning.' I nodded even though I did not like to wake up early. 'Still can't I wait till tomorrow. Thank you, Mycroft.' I closed my eyes and could already smell the spray of the sea, feel a little breeze through my hair and see the beautiful view with a wonderful man beside me, laughing cutely while holding my hand.

-Time skip-

'Come on, Mycroft. Hurry a bit!' I shouted happily and ran towards the waiting car while Mycroft was still locking the door. 'I'm coming. Don't worry: cliffs cannot walk away.' He said while I took place in the car. Not much later Mycroft opened the driver's door and in no-time we drove away with Dover as our destination. I sat there, staring at the windshield with such a bright smile on my face that Mycroft must have thought that there was something wrong with me. I looked at him for a moment and noticed the umbrella lying next to his seat.

'Why do you take your umbrella with you? You always do that, you know. Why?' I asked. 'He might come in handy.' He replied simply. 'Does it bother you?' He then asked. 'A bit.' I answered honestly. We drove through lots of beautiful places and I felt more excited with every mile we got closer to Dover. When we reached the city we parked the car and walked through the busy streets towards the cliffs since that was the thing I wanted to see most of all. Mycroft took his umbrella with him again and, although I didn't want him to take it with him, I decided to let it be.

We walked in silence through the beautiful landscape of England. I still had the same bright smile on my face that hadn't left since Mycroft said that we would go. The wind played with my hair and I caught Mycroft staring at it. He smiled at me and I stared to hum a little. It all was so peaceful, so beautiful and the most beautiful of all was the white cliff that I had seen on the telly.

I gasped and ran towards the cliff. '(y/n), be careful. Don't run, please.' Mycroft said but I did not listen. '(y/n)!' He screamed in horror as I kept on running, staring at the sea that in front of me and suddenly didn't feel any ground underneath my feet anymore. My gasp turned into a scream when I fell down the cliff. Even in all my despair I luckily could get grip of a small rock that protruded. 'Mycroft!' I screamed. I was nervous, of course I was nervous, which made my hands sweaty and I felt them slipping away bit by bit.

'MYCROFT!' I tried once more. I looked down and screamed in horror again. Oh boy, this cliff was high! Terrible many meters underneath me were some rocks that would end my life If I would fall on them. My hands slipped away and I closed my eyes, waiting for the flying moment, waiting for the fall, waiting for the pain. Instead of that I felt wood. I held it for dear life and looked up to see Mycroft holding out his umbrella that kept me from falling down. With more strength than I thought he had he pulled me up on the surface again. I hugged him immediately, falling to the ground and making him fall with me.

'Oh Mycroft.' I cried out. 'Thank you!' I put my head against his chest and felt him running his fingers through my hair as the tears run down my cheeks. 'I-I was so afraid.' I sobbed. 'Never scare me that much again! I thought I'd lost you!' He said a little angrily. 'Please never do that to me again.' He said now softly, almost begging me. 'I wasn't planning to do it more often.' I told him, shaking all ovr my body. We sat there on the ground for a while untill he rose and dragged me on my feet. I shook all over my body, feeling cold from the fright. He noticed and gave me the jacket of his suit. He hung it over my shoulders and supported me since I had trouble walking.

We walked in silence but I did not enjoy the wind through my hair or the beautiful landscape around be anymore. To me everything was grey now, everything had lost their colour except the man that was holding me and kept saying that it was alright now, that I was save. I did not know if he was talking to me or to himself but it helped me calm down. When we reached the car I sat down, still with his jacket hanging from my shoulders. ' Thank you, Mycroft.' I repeated after a short silence in the car. 'No need to thank me, I'm just glad that you're still alive.' He answered and smiled a small smile.

'No need to thank you? You just saved my life!' I said, looking at my hero. He did not say anything so the silence started again. We drove back to London, I suggested that because I was yarning for a warm cup of tea and my comfortable couch. Mycroft broke the silence with a small smile on his lips. 'I guess that you think differently now.' I looked at him with a not-understanding look. 'About the umbrella.' He added making me smile too. 'Yes, I think completely differently about it after today.' I said and stared at it with a grin on my face.

We reached our home and I jumped on the couch immediately. Mycroft made me a cup of tea and I accepted it thankfully. He sat down next to me and I turned the telly on to get some distraction. The programme about Dover was on again and they showed the cliff that I had started to hate. I turned the TV off and sighted. 'I thought that you could not get enough of the landscape of Dover, that's what you said yesterday.' I looked at him with a played angry look, but how could I be angry at my saviour? I hugged him tightly and he planted a kiss on the crown of my head. 'I love you, Mycroft.' I said. 'I love you too.' We sat on the couch for the rest of the day, wondering where we would go next.

And of course we'd take the umbrella with us, just in case.
