It rained. Yoshiro stood at the window and peered out into the night. He could hear the breathing of the woman on the floor. She had snuggled into his jacket with whom he had covered her for lack of alternatives. He sighed. They had made love. What the hell was wrong with him? That was the last thing he wanted. He didn't want to destroy Midori's life more than he already had.

For the first time in a while he didn't feel driven. When he looked at her face, as she dozed there, he felt a sense of peace. For the first time since Kira he had completely opened up to someone and she had accepted what he was. Maybe she didn't understand it completely, but she accepted it.

And she had forgiven him. This guilt that tormented him for two decades, became lighter. She demanded that he should forgive himself. Was it that simple? Could the world be brought back into balance like this? With forgiveness?

He thought of his nemesis. Was Tirr a lost soul too, who could express himself only with insane violence according to all his guilt?

If a woman like Midori could forgive a monster like him, was he able to forgive a monster like Tirr? But ... deserved someone like Tirr forgiveness at all? There was only one way to find that out.

"Do something. Go at each others throats, you dirty rats!", roared Tirr from his throne.

He was back in his shelter in the abandoned amusement park. The burn wounds were healed for the most part. He had to obtain new clothes. And had a lot of fun doing it.

He remembered how he had massacred the cashier in the rocker shop. He never thought that he could staple a man to a wall with a pool cue. Well, learned something new again.

The fresh leather of his black suit still squeaked and was covered with blood, but that didn't bother him further. Sooner or later it would drip from blood. Perhaps he should have decided on white leather, then he could have colored it himself. The thought amused him so much that he chuckled. His blood red eyes turned back to the two beasts who sprawled at his feet.

"Holy shit! If you don't kill each other, I'll tear off your damn skulls!", he shouted pissed. The creatures exchanged a look. They had noticed that he was injured. Did they really plan to betray their master?

Tirr jumped out of his seat and let out a shrill scream. Intimidated, the creatures jumped up and bared their teeth. The big Oni smiled broadly.

"Oh yeah. You know where your place is, you little fuckers."

"Shouldn't you be kinder to your 'children', 'brother'."

Tirr's glowing eyes turned to his visitor. "Holy shit. Look, who's here. If this is not my bestest friend in the whole, wide world."

The other shook his head. "You are never at a loss for a pun, right?"

"I have my little notebook where I write down all my ideas." He reached into his jacket and rummaged. "Oh? Where do I have it? Probably postponed. Oh fuck, the small, pyromaniac Teddy certainly has burned it with my other clothes. What a pity."

The creatures crept lurking around the visitor. They growled and bared their teeth. He calmly looked at the beasts, which circled him, then looked back to their master.

"SIT!", roared Tirr. The beasts jumped and laid down. Their master sank back down on his throne. "If you wanted to kill me, you shouldn't have announced your presence. But you know that actually, don't you, Yoshi?"
