Elizabeth's POV

*Beep beep beep be-*

I groaned and threw my alarm clock to the other side of my room.

I was about to fell asleep again when my bedroom door slammed open walking in my brother. He looked at me and then at my alarm clock which was on the others side of my room.

"Mom! Dad! I was too late! She already needs a knew alarm clock!" Jake yelled.

I only rolled my eyes and turned to the other side. Suddenly Jake pulled my blanket away letting me slide down to the floor. Lucky, it didn't hurt.

"It's time for you to wake up, Beth. Today is your first day of school." he said.

I slowly opened my eyes and stood up.

"Do I have to go? I don't want to..." I said with sleepy voice.

"No can do sis. Now get ready." he said and walked out of my room closing my door.

I sighed and went to my bathroom to take a quick shower. After that I went to my closet grabbing a black ripped skinny jean and a white sweater. I dryed my long dark brown hair and grabbed my bag and phone before going downstairs. I found my parents sitting at the table siping on their coffee.

"Morning." I greeted and sat down beside Jake who was eating some pancakes.

"Morning, sweetheart. Want some pancakes?" my mother asked and I only nodded.

She placed a plate with two blueberry pancakes in front of me and I started to eat.

"So, are you excited?" my dad asked.

"Not at all..." I whispered but they still heard me.

"Honey, it won't be that bad." my mother said.

"Do you have your medicine with you?" my father asked. I took out my necklace where a little bottle hang filled with little white pills.

"Good. If anything happens then just call us or Jake. We will be right there. " my mother said.

I only nodded and stood up putting my plate in the sink.

"It's time to go." Jake said as he grabbed the car keys.

I followed him to the car and we drove away to school. After 15 minutes of driving we arrived at my high school. Jake get out of the car and jogged over to mine opening it for me. As I stepped out I felt some gaze on us. As I looked up I saw girls checking out Jake and boys looking at me up an down.

Did I mention that my brother was the quarter back of our previous school? You could see his muscles through his clothes because he still goes to gym training.

I don't want to sound creepy or anything but Jake was really good looking but he's not one of those guys who plays with girls. My brother only had 2 girlfriends in his life. Right now he is dating Sophia who is living 10 minutes away from us. They are together since 2 years. His longest relationship until now.

They both met each other back in Washington D.C before she also moved here. She is only a few months younger than Jake. I really like her but I couldn't see her often because she moved here way earlier than us.

My brother is not like everyone. He's really nice to me and acts like I'm still 5. It's funny but I don't mind being him like that. He only changed because of me.

"Is everything okay?" Jake asked worried bringing me back from my thoughts.

"Yeah. I'm only a bit nervous." I said.

"Everything will be fine. Don't overdo it and don't got stressed out. It's not good for you." he told me.

"Yeah, I know. You know I can take care of myself." I chuckled.

"What? I'm only worried about my baby sister. You have to go now. Unfortunately, I can't pick you up later." Jake said.

"It's okay, I just walk. I want to look around the city again anyways since it's been years." I said with a smile.

Jake hugged me and gave me a kiss on my forehead before he drove away.

I went inside the school and saw a few people looking at me strangely. It was a typical high school with different groups like jocks, cheerleaders a.k.a the sluts, nerds, etc. Some of the cheerleaders looked at me in jealously and some in disgust. On the other side some jocks looked at me and licked their lips. I shivered in disgust and walked faster, trying to get away from those jerks.

I tried to ignore it and made my way to the office which I finally found. I went to the front desk where a woman in her early 40's stood. She looked up to me and smiled warmly.

At leats she seems really normal.

"How can I help you, sweetheart?" she asked.

"Hi. My name is Elizabeth Conner. I'm new here." I told her.

"Ah you're the new girl. You're really pretty." she said and chuckled when she saw me getting red.

She then handed me my schedule and my locker number and code. I looked at my schedule.

1. Period: Science

2. Period: Science

3. Period: P.E

Lunch

4. Period: History

5. Period: Art

6. Period: Math

I groaned as I saw I had science two hours. I then saw P.E.

"Excuse me? I think there is a mistake. I shouldn't have P.E. I think my parents informed you." I told the woman.

She then looked at her computer.

"Oh that's right. I'm sorry. My mistake. Wait a minute." she said before handing me my new schedule.

I had P.E twice a week but since I wasn't allowed to do sports I had a free period.

I said goodbye to her and started to search for my locker. The first bell already rung for first period and I was still searching for my damn locker. I went down the empty hallway looking at every locker number until I saw a group of boys standing at the end of the hallway.

I looked at them for a while until I noticed there were 5 boys standing there and they didn't really looked all friendly with their black outfits. It literally screamed 'dangerous'. I know I shouldn't judge people but I just can't help it.

Holy fudge, look at that hot boy!

He had brown hair and he was dressed in all black like the rest of them. I was too far away but I think he was about 6'2 while I was only 5'4 maybe 5'5 now. I still have hope.

"What did his parents gave him to eat..." I mumbled to myself.

I didn't notice I was staring at him until he suddenly looked at me. I flinched at the sudden eye contact but I didn't look away. It was trapped in his gaze. He stared at me until his friends also turned around looking at me. I immediately looked down as I felt my cheeks getting hotter. I then started to walk pass them not looking at their faces. I felt their stares on me until I disappeared around the corner.

Yeah, not awkward at all, Beth. You did a good job on embarrassing yourself.

I mentally groaned and walked faster.
