What is wrong with me? I had a nightmare last night, and it wasn't the usual one.
Everything was misty and damp. I was shivering, and every move I made was sluggish.
My legs were surrounded by something silky... like water, almost.
In my dream, I was desperately looking for something. And then I woke up. I would have brushed it off; dismissed it entirely.
But the thing is... when I did snap out of it, it wasn't fear that coated my tongue. It was deja vu. A sick sense of recognition. I've been there before.
Like a memory.
