"OH MY GOODNESS... IT HURTS ERIC! AAAHHH..." I screamed.
"Shh... Relax my love. Breathe.. Doctor can't you give her something to ease her pain?" Eric asked Dr. Lu, the doctor delivering my baby.
"I already have, Mr Bateman." She answered Eric before turning to me.
"Miss Greene, the contractions up to the pushing stage are what hurts the most. They gradually get stronger and stronger. First they'd feel like you are tensing your muscles on and off. Then like period pains. At this stage you have 1 minuted contractions with 20seconds in between each."

My eyes widened. "1 minute? It feels like an eternity! OUUUUCCHH.."
"Breathe Stacey." Eric said.
"I AM BREATHING! CAN'T YOU SEE THAT?" I yelled.
"I'm sorry." He swallowed. "Dr, could she get another pain reliever please?"
"No Mr Bateman. That will be drug overdose.... Miss Greene, your baby is ready to come out now. You have to wait a bit for your private part to stretch to accomodate the shoulders. If you don't wait you'll likely tear. If you do wait, you wouldn't. The tearing doesn't hurt at all as you are completely numb from the baby stretching your skin. But I advise you to wait. It's sometimes risky if you don't."

I nodded and tightly gripped Eric's hand.

"I'm sorry for yelling at you Eric. My hormones are all over the place. I love you. Please don't leave me." I cried.
"I know sweetheart. I love you more than you'll ever know. I'm not going anywhere." He whispered and placed a kiss on my sweaty forehead.

Hours later

Next came the pushing stage, and the pain eased dramatically. With each push, the contractions hurt less. Instead of cramping pain, it felt just like pressure, which was very manageable.

"Okay Miss Greene, you're almost there. The head is out. Pushhh." Dr Lu said.
"Push baby, you can do it." Eric encouraged.
"Here it comes..." I panted.

Our baby was finally out after a few more pushes.

"You did it sweetheart... Thank you." Eric said as tears stained his cheeks.
"Congratulations to the both of you. You have a bouncing baby boy." Dr Lu said as she gave my baby to Eric.
"I told you it would be a boy." He said to me.

I smiled.
I felt numb for a while, then later felt a little pain but Dr Lu said that was normal.
She numbed my private area before stitching me up.

"Would you like to hold him?" Eric asked.
"Yes, please."
He carefully placed him in my arms. "He looks like little boxer after a fight." Eric said.

I chuckled.
His body was red as beets, he had bruises from being squished and squashed down my birth canal.
He was quite chubby and had little hands and feet and his face made all kinds of really weird expressions. He felt like a little sack of flour. His cry sounded like a mewing cat. His skin was literally like a piece of lotioned tissue paper, so smooth and soft. He had my black eyes and Eric's blonde hair.

"He's so handsome."
"Just like his father." Eric added.

I laughed. "What should we call him?"
"You decide sweetheart."
"No I want you to decide this time."
"How about Jesse?"
"Jesse Bateman... I like it."
"Excuse me ma'am... It's time to get him cleaned up." One of the nurses said.
"Oh... Can't he stay with me a while longer? Please.."
She smiled. "He'll be hungry soon. We'll bring him to your room so you breastfeed him."
"Okay." I placed a kiss on his forehead before giving him to her.

"I hope you produced enough milk for Jesse and I, sweetheart."
"Eric!" I snapped when I realized Dr Lu heard what he said.
"Believe it or not, you getting mad is only making you look sexier... and me harder." Eric purred in my ear.

My cheeks went red from embarrassment.

He chuckled. "Doctor, how long will it take Stacey to heal? I mean, when will we be able to have sex again?"

I glared at Eric.
He winked at me.

Dr Lu laughed. "After 6 weeks."
"I'll be damned." He cursed.

After a while, another nurse walked in with a wheelchair to take me to my room but Eric told her he'd take me instead.

"You're not touching me again, Eric." I said to him once we were out of the delivery room.
"Oh we'll see about that." He replied, smirking.
