Modern Preference: You're not from where they're from

Caspian

You had never heard of Narnia. Caspian had never heard of our world. Honestly, it was a lose-lose for everyone.

Both you and Caspian were confused about the other's home. You couldn't understand some of the things Caspian was saying because of his accent. Caspian didn't understand some of the words you used. For example: internet, computer, iPhone, car, plane, etc.

You had trouble adjusting to the seemingly medieval life that Caspian lived. Traveling by horses, using candles instead of lamps or other electrical lighting. Without WIFI, it couldn't get much worse.

However, you loved Caspian. Making a few changes in the way you lived was worth it to be with the one you loved.

Peter

America, the land of weirdos. At least, before he met you, that's what he liked to call it.

Peter had heard of the things that happened in America. He, to be completely honest, wanted no part of it. He didn't know of the beautiful things it held, like you.

When he met you, you were at an airport, discouraged that your driver wasn't there to pick you up. Peter had flown back to London from Wales on travel. When you met, Peter could tell that you were a lovely girl, even if you were from America.

Edmund

It didn't take long for Edmund to tell you were from Ireland.

Immediately, he couldn't tell. He only saw a beautiful girl who looked a little lost in the busy streets of London. When he actually started to talk to you, he could definitely tell.

The main thing was your accent. He felt bad having to ask you to to repeat things, but for the life of him, he couldn't understand you. You felt like a burden, having to ask about some of the things he was talking about because they are called different things in Ireland. It wasn't exactly a smooth first impression on either fronts.
