"Shh." Zach runs his finger through my wavy hair. I shake miserably and probably am I lost cause. Or becoming one of I hadn't already become one.

"I'm sorry." I whisper.

"Shh. Just sleep okay?" Zach says.

"I should be getting back to my dorm." I sniffle and attempt to sit up but Zach holds me up to him.

"Classes don't start for a while. Just stay. I've missed you." Zach tells me.

"Fine." I suck in all of my previous emotions and sit up. "I can't believe your real." I whisper turning to Zach. His face was oddly solemn but emotions flickered within it.

"As real as I'll ever be." Zach whispers cupping my cheek with his hand.

"You know I wish I had a mum because of things like this. So I could go and gush over stuff. And then that over protective dad to be all mean to you but actually approve of you." I say.

"Me too." Zach smiles sadly. "I could ask my mum for girl advice and then if my dad was normal he would probably pick on me about it." I laugh. Genuinely laugh.

"You think you could come to a meeting type thing with me tomorrow. Dress nice." I say.

"Of course." Zach says. "You should sleep now."

"I forgot my pills." I say abruptly. "In my dorm."

"What pills?"

"Anti-anxiety." I whisper.

"From the-" Zach starts.

"Don't say it." I whisper and close my eyes. "It helps me sleep." I whisper.

"Oh." Is all Zach said. You'll be fine."

Zach's POV

"Promise?" Holly asks me and I see fear glinting in her eyes. Why should she be scared? She shouldn't have this type of fear in her.

"Promise." I reply.  "Just try, okay? Please?" She seems to give up and relaxes beside of me.

"Fine." Holly shifts from where she sits so she is closer to me. At this moment I longed for the touch of her. Longed to feel her heartbeat again. Longed for even the simplest gestures that we used to think nothing about. Like a simple hug that I might give her if I was dropping her off at the orphanage again or holding her hand on the way back. When we'd just sit in our little swing close enough so that our shoulders rose and fell softly together as we breathed.

       "Good night." Holly whispers.

"Good night, holly." I whisper and kiss her temple in an attempt to comfort her but she is tense. Untrustful of my promise. But eventually, forced, or not, she fell asleep with a rhythmic breaths.

Hollys POV

I wake up early and Zach is already awake but stares into space. I shift which causes him to look down at me.

"Hey." He says. "Don't we have some sort of meeting for you to go to?" He asks.

"Yes, I should probably go get ready. Meet me at-" I start. "What time is it?"

"8:47." I replies squinting at a clock I didn't see in the corner.

"Okay meet me in an hour at the café across the street." I reply standing up. "I've gotta go get ready."

"Want me to walk you?" He asks.

"I think you forget that my dorm is only on the second floor. And this is the third." I laugh.

He scrunched his eyebrows in confusion. "Oh yeah."

"See you in an hour." I say and leave. I get to my dorm and Miranda is sitting reading another book I don't recognize.

"Hello." She says not looking up. "Where were you last night?"she asks.

"Just enjoying life." I reply. "I've got to get ready for something but I'll talk to you later though." I smile and go through my wardrobe and grab a champagne colored dress that reaches mid thigh. It has thin sleeves and flows from my waist. I put on the same color pumps that, for your information, I can barely walk in. I leave the campus and walk carefully across the road. Zach sits at a table with a black umbrella sprouting from the middle.

"Ready?" I ask.

"Yep." Zach says popping the 'p' "here's a coffee." He smiles handing me a cup.

"Thanks." I return the smile and take the mug from him, sipping as we walk into the building I aimed for. The women at the counter raised an eyebrow at me warily.

"Do you have an appointment?" She asks.

"No but I really need to speak to mr. Lutz. Please just one minute." I practically beg her.

"Just knock. He might be busy." She sighs.

"Thank you!" I say as I pull Zach toward Mr. Lutz office. I knock on the door hesitantly.

"Come in." I hear John reply.

"Stay here." I instruct Zach and peek into the room. "Hi John." I smile.

"Mrs. Thorn." He nods. "I don't see an appointment."

"I just need to tell you something quickly." I reply.

"Okay hurry." Mr. Lutz rushes. "So?"

"My story is never ending. The world forever moves no matter if you move with it. I believe everything happens for a reason because if I didn't believe in that, my life wouldn't make sense. You regret but you learn. I don't have an ending yet but here's the last part." I smile and almost on cue, Zach walks in.

"Hello Mr. Lutz, I'm Zach." Zach reaches out and shakes his hand. John sits up in his seat and shakes his hand in confusion.

"The Zach? Your Zach?" John asks.

"Mhmm. My Zach." I smile and correct my posture.

"What a book you could write." Mr Lutz smiles. He smiles and leans forward. "People will love you."
