[Ch. 17] Dreams and Promises

Vincent's P.O.V
"Mike I promise it won't happen again."

"You disobeyed me!! Who the fuck do you think you are?!"

"I'm sorry I didn't...I didn't m-mean to h-h-he just..."

"I'm gonna kill you little prick!! I thought I told you to stay away from him!!"

"H-He came to me!!"

"No one disobeys me!! No one!!"

"I...I'm sorry..."

he grabs me and throws me around like a rag doll. He kicks me punches me, clamps these things around my wrists and then hang me by my arms then whips me. He screams at me...Tells me I'm. Nothing. Then I'm the one screaming.

I wake up screaming, tears rushing down my face. I realize that I'm laying down somewhere. In a car. Someone was sitting next to me...

"Thank you..." I say quietly.

"No problem. Sorry I haven't been at work to see you." He sighs.

"It's fine. I haven't been at work either...Because of Mike...He barely let's me leave the house" I say ashamed.

"You shouldn't let him do that to you." He shakes his head.

"I have no choice." I wipe my eyes. "I can't fight back...And we're married so there's no getting away from him."

"It's illegal to marry someone under the age of 21" he states.

"I know but he did it illegally but it's apparently still official." I look down. "I j-just want someone that's not gonna treat me like a dog...pff...not even dogs get treated as bad as I do...But apparently everyone just loves to see me in pain for some reason. I'm sorry..."

"It's totally fine." There was a moment of silence. "Go to Scott. He's the one, Vinny."

"But mike said that if i EVER go near Scott that he'll punish me really badly." I say sadly.

"I'll cover for you. Trust me...Scott is the person your meant to be with...I've seen the way he acts around you." The older teen smiles. "Plus you deserve someone that'll treat you like a dam prince."

"You really mean that?" I lightly laugh.

"Of course I do..." There was another moment of silence.

I lean over and he pulls me into a hug. "Thank you so much...You've always been there for me, Jeremy"
