This show 's timeline is screwed.

So in the show, going along with past events being mentioned, we can assume it's been at least three or four years in their world.

Sadie's song: "They made a rule that you have to wear clothes after last year."

Which means Sadie's Song takes place two years after Steven and the Stevens. But What about these last two seasons?

If I'm not mistaken, the events of In Too Deep(May 2016) were to act as the season three finale, with Summer of Steven(August 2016) as season four. (I'm not sure if that was the whole season or not)

So anyhow, Onion Gang got me thinking. If Garbanzo, Pinto, Squash, and Soup are leaving because summer is over, how long ago did the events of Same Old World take place?

Same Old World aired as a part of the In Too Deep special in May. At one point in the episode, Steven explains to Lapis that it's almost Fall, and he even gives her a Brown leaf to prove it. Lets just bookmark that.

Later, on the episode Beta, which aired as a part of the Summer of Steven special in August, Lapis uses the leaf in one of her Morps. This leaf still looks exactly the same, as if hardly any time had gone by.

Onion Gang aired in September as part of usual broadcasting, and in this episode Onion's friends are leaving because it's fall. When Steven calls Connie, she says she's going back to school shopping, which is usually done roughly a week or so before school starts.

So how much time has passed? All the episodes spent fighting Jasper obviously took a few weeks, not to mention all the fillers. So what happened? Here are just a few theories:

1.Lapis flew Steven so far away that they went somewhere where it was already Fall.
I'm not sure where that'd be, but it's always fall somewhere. It would explain those extra few weeks.

2.Not as much time passed as we thought
Think about it, we had to wait over two months between these episodes, but they didn't. Everything from In Too Deep to Onion Gang easily could've happened in two or three weeks.

3.It's been a whole year
This one is less likely, but there's actual evidence. The leaf was in Steven's mouth, he easily could've gotten some spit on it to preserve it. Lapis and Peridot got a lot if work done on the barn. True, they can manipulate water and metal, but it must take a while to finish. And mist importantly, Jasper. Pearl mentioned numerous times how long it'd been, collecting corrupt gems can't be easy, and do you think she just happened to show up once a day to fight them?

I'm not using the episode where Connie, Steven, and Pearl travel(what's it called?) and find Jasper because the warp pads have taken them to South America in seconds, and the same could be said for Russia or Canada or whatever.

Anyhow, what do you guys think?
