Callie's pov
Today when I got home I noticed an unfamiliar car in my driveway. My brother and sister were away in college so they couldn't be here and my parents were working so they weren't home.

When I walked in the house I went to the kitchen to eat when I heard a noise from upstairs. I didn't mind it till I kept hearing the noise. I eventually decided to go upstairs to see what it was and then I saw that it was Josh, Dylan, and Makenzie sitting on Dylan's bed playing video games. "What the hell" I said and they all looked up at me. "Oh hey" Dylan said still concentrated on his games. "Oh hey? You should at least tell me when your coming home and why are you home anyway?" "The power at the school went out so they let us out early and they cancelled all activities so we didn't have to go to football and Kenz didn't have cheer practice" Josh said. "I'm hungry" Dylan said randomly "then get something to eat I'm not making you anything" "whatever I'll get a pizza, wanna come with me Kenz?" "Yeah sure" "so your just gonna leave me here" Josh said "yeah basically, just talk to my sister she wouldn't mind" "who said I wouldn't" "you wouldn't" he said giving me the eye. "Your right I wouldn't" I said and then he grabbed Kenzie's hand and they left.

While Josh and I were waiting for My brother and his girlfriend to come back we were basically on our phones until he started talking to me. "Hey" "hi" "how are you?" "Good how bout you?" "I'm alright" "that's good" "yeah" "so I haven't seen my brother play this season yet, how is he?" "Um do you want me to be honest with you?" "yes" "he's not doing so well" I said regretting it because it made me seem like a bad person" "I'm not surprised" "why?" "Practically all summer all he stayed in his room and moped around" "oh wow" "yeah and he was doing it over a stupid girl who broke his heart" "well I think that girl is really sorry for doing that" "nope I bet she's not, I bet you she's trying to hop on that new quarterback wes' dick" "I bet you she isn't" "why?" "Because she has a boyfriend" "probably a boyfriend who is a player" "okay Josh your gonna regret everything you just said, but what if you knew the girl that broke his heart? Would you feel the same way about her?" "trust me the girls that I know are older than 16 and I don't know" "are you sure because your talking to a girl that is 16" "well yeah but someone like you wouldn't do that shit to him" "well someone like me did that shit " "I don't get it" "Josh, I messed him up, I didn't know he still had feelings for me but I had feelings for someone else" "who?" "James Gray's brother, Blake" "James Gray as in Greenville's quarterback from two years ago" "yeah" "oh wow" "yeah" "well are you two still together?" "Yeah" "sorry I acted like a dick, I just didn't know that he was still really clingy" "he isn't but I just feel bad because he isn't the same" "yeah,you should try talking to him" "I want to but I just feel like I would let him down" "well I have an idea, come to my house after school tomorrow" "why? I have volleyball practice" "skip it, you'll see"

Next day
After school
"All school activities have been cancelled for today" the loud speaker said as I was getting my volleyball stuff out of my locker. There had been some gas leak or something so they let us out really early.  Going to my locker was clearly a waste of my time so I just put my stuff back into my locker and I started walking to Josh's when Blake pulled over and stopped me. "Hey wanna ride?" "No it's okay" "well I was hoping you would say yes so that I could take you to lunch" "I don't have money" "it's my treat" "Blake it's okay, you spend too much on me, save your money for gas" "well can I at least make you lunch at my house?". At first I didn't know what to do because I just wanted to go to Josh's to get my over it but I didn't want to pass up an offer to hang out with my boyfriend. "Can you even cook?" "I can try" "fine" I said getting into the car.

When we got to his house he immediately went to the kitchen and started making food. While he was making food I got a text from Hunter.

Hunter😁- hey this is Josh are you on your way?
Me- oh hey, yeah I'll be there in about 30 mins
Hunter😁- alright see you in a few

When I finished checking all of my social media Blake called me into his dining room. When I walked in there was a plate with half of a sandwich, Cocoa Puffs, an Oreo and Cheetos and a capri sun sitting on the table. "Well you really know how to cook" I said sarcastically "hey at least I tried" he said grabbing my hand. "Well just know I'm cooking next time" "that's totally fine with me" "so I'm sad I have an away game this week because you won't be there" "I know but it's okay I'm gonna make you something" "brownies?" "Nope" "cookies?" "Nope, I'm gonna make you half a sandwich but with a chips ahoy cookie, Cheerios, and no salted popcorn" "well damn that's boring" "I know but I'm actually just gonna make you cupcakes" "okay babe whatever you say".

After I finished eating I was about to leave when Blake grabbed me and put me over his shoulder preventing me from leaving. "Ugh Blake I gotta go" "no you don't" "yeah I do, I have homework" "lies" "no lies" "fine I'll let you go if you at least kiss me before you leave" "Blake I'm getting sick though" "I don't care, I'd rather get sick then not kiss you" "watch what you say. Hunter said that last time and he got me really sick" "it's okay" he said pulling me in a I kept giving him little pecks and then I left.

When I got to Josh and Hunter's house I got really nervous. What did Josh want from me and why was he rushing me? A lot of these questions went through my head but I just assumed the best. When I got to the door Hunter opened it and just stared at me with a sad look on his face. "Hey is your brother home? He told me to come over" "no" "well can I wait for him inside?" "Whatever" he said and I just sat on the couch while he just disappeared. After I texted Josh.

Me- hey josh where are you?
Josh- oh I forgot that I had an exam today
Me- oh wow
Josh- yeah so you can just go home
Me- okay

After I got up and I saw that Hunter was at the table doing homework. "Well your brother isn't coming back so I'm going home" "okay bye" "why are you being so rude?" "Because someone keeps talking while I'm doing the math homework that I don't get" "well what's so hard about it?" "Everything" "lemme see" I said taking the paper from him. "This is easy" I said writing out the formula for him. "That shit isn't easy at all" "well if you try, it will be" "whatever" he said still confused. After I ended sitting down and doing his homework with him. Right when I was finishing the last question with him Josh walked in. "Hey you too" "hi" "where are you going?" "I'm heading out" "okay good and I don't need to talk to you anymore so your okay" "okay". Even though we didn't really talk while I was basically doing his homework for him it was good progress. I still want to be friends with him but it's unfortunate that he doesn't think that I think that way.
