Falling for You

Chapter 2

Julia's POV:

I was walking in the halls with Violet and Cam. It was Monday morning and the bell was about to ring for us to go to our first block class.

"I'm so tired," Cam whined.

I shook my head and laughed, "Me too. I stayed up watching Shameless."

"Really Julia, now you're going to be asleep in all of you classes," Violet laughed.

I smirked, "We have study hall first block. What do you think I'm going to do in there?"

Cam and Violet both laughed. We continued talking for about three minutes before the bell rang signaling us to go to our classes. I hugged Cam so she could go off to her class and then began walking to my study hall which I shared Violet. As we approached the classroom I saw that Mrs.Shannon wasn't there, instead there was a blonde woman. She was wearing a blue floral blouse, a tight black skirt that stopped right above knees, and some black heels that weren't too high. She greeted me as I walked past her with Violet. She was actually really pretty. The tardy bell rang and we were all in our seats as we waited for the new substitute teacher I was assuming to introduce herself.

She smiled, "Good Morning class. I'm you're new teacher. My name is Avery Scott. Two teachers left, which means I'll be taking the place of both of them. Besides taking over study hall, I'll also be teaching English."

She looked a little nervous and it was kind of cute. I couldn't really keep my eyes off her. She blonde hair had very loose, soft blonde curls. Her eyes well they were a nice shade of dark brown. Her face looked flawless, and her lips were thick and washed over with a light shade of pink.

Miss.Scott continued, "I don't have many rules since this is study hall. You may sit where ever you'd like and use your phones. I just ask that you please respect others that are really doing their work."

After a short introduction Miss.Scott sat at her desk and just sat there not really doing anything. I figured it was because she was new and didn't really have any papers to grade. She looked so peaceful besides the bit of anxiousness that showed.

"You have a girlfriend remember," Violet stated as she caught me staring.

I rolled my eyes, "What? I just think she's attractive."

She laughed, shaking her head. For some reason I wanted to go talk to Miss.Scott. I got up and walked over to her desk. She looked up at me confused as I took a random rolling chair and sat down in front of her.

"What's your name," she asked.

I replied, "I'm Julia. Julia Matthews to be exact."

She smiled, "Do you need something?"

"Nope, I just wanted to get to know you that's all. What English teachers place are you taking over," I asked smiling curiously.

"Mr.Greene." She answered.

I smirked, "Looks like I'm going to be in your English class this year."

She nodded, "Well I look forward to it."

Her tone somewhat changed knowing I was going to be in her class. It seemed almost as if she was disappointed. I got up and waved her off politely as I went back to my desk. I wrapped my jacket around me and put my head down so I could sleep. I rested and thought to myself. Did I do something wrong? Did a teacher tell her something bad about me? I mean I've been known for getting in a little bit of trouble with my teachers. Why did I even care? She's just another teacher, teaching a subject I wasn't so good in. I soon dozed off as different thoughts raced through my mind.

I was on my way to my third block class. That means I would see Miss.Scott. I saw her as I turned the corner, her hair lying gently on her shoulders and her lips curling into a bright smile as she welcomed students and spoke with other teachers. I walked past her giving her a quick smile. I sat in a seat that was in the back. It was actually right beside the door too and I was able to have a good view of everyone. I always sat in the back, it's where I felt comfortable and in control.

Miss.Scott gently closed the door behind her. She did her introduction and then got right to teaching.

"We will be reading a book called Harmony House. It's a scary story and I thought you all would like it," she spoke as she passed out the books.

In all honesty I wasn't upset. I actually liked reading. Horror books were my favorite books, not those lame ass "scary" books, I'm talking about ghosts, demons, and shit like that. They were full of suspense and drama which is why I was excited to read Harmony House. I have heard of this book but never got the chance to read it.

"I would like you all to read the first chapter on your own," she said after giving each student a book.

I sat back and got comfortable. Not long after a few paragraphs I realized I kept looking up at Miss.Scott. Don't get me wrong! The book was so fucking amazing, but I couldn't get over her beauty. It was a little weird but I thought nothing of it. She was just so attractive.

So this chapter kind of just introduced Miss.Scott. I know the story is boring right now but I will change that next chapter. I couldn't wait till the weekend to update so I just did it now.
