'So, these are all of Camille's things?'

Isabelle looked sceptical as Raphael led her and Adelaide into a storage room away from any prying eyes.

'All I could find.' Raphael confirmed, seeming amused at Isabelle's distrust, his eyes flitting to Adelaide who looked completely relaxed as she leant against the shelving next to him. Adelaide looked up at that moment and caught the vampires eyes, sending him a curious look.

'-but she has hideouts all over the city.' Raphael continued as though Adelaide hadn't just caught him watching her.

'Interesting.' Isabelle sounded anything but interested as she twirled a cylindrical object around. Adelaide felt a smirk form on her face, sensing Raphael's' growing irritation with the beautiful brunette.

'I thought you were looking for a spell book?' Raphael sounded suspicious.

Adelaide bit her tongue, praying that Isabelle didn't give the game away. The two had escorted Simon back, much to Raphael's amusement, before asking to see Camille's possessions. Raphael had questioned Clary's disappearance and Adelaide had hinted that she had left to find Jace, prompting a look of disgust from the vampire, when in reality the red head was locked away inside a casket, waiting for a chance to make her move on Camille.

'We are.' Isabelle confirmed.

'We? And exactly where are your friends?' Raphael turned his gaze to Adelaide.

At that exact moment, Adelaide felt her phone buzz in her pocket, signalling that Simon and Clary were in.

Raphael had obviously heard the sound as he shook his head, a smirk forming on his face.

'Did you really think this stall tactic was gonna work?' He asked silkily, watching as Isabelle tensed up.

'No, but I thought this would.'

Raphael moved before Isabelle's whip could so much as touch him, and Adelaide sighed at the predictability.

'Typical shadowhunter.' Raphael had reappeared further away, glancing at Adelaide who looked unconcerned at the obvious annoyance his body language was displaying. 'Always underestimating a vampire.'

There was a sharp crack as Isabelle flicked her whip again, this time Raphael reappeared beside Adelaide.

'I'm disappointed in you, taking advantage of our friendship.'

'Oh please.' Adelaide rolled her eyes. 'You knew what I had to do.'

A strange expression crossed Raphael's face as he spoke directly into her ear, so lowly that Isabelle couldn't hear his words.

'I'd have done anything you asked, pequeño guerrero. All you had to do was be honest.'

Adelaide felt a cool rush of air as Raphael disappeared

Alec was standing beside a stony faced Jace and a silent Hodge.

Jace hadn't spoken a word to him or Luke, instead choosing to avoid their eyes. On occasion, Alec would notice the expression on Jace's face waver, and more than once Alec wondered if he'd have to restrain Jace from murdering their once mentor again.
