Carmen raised her hand to knock on Scott's front door, but before she could, it flies open and she's pulled through by none other than the alpha's arm. Her eyes go wide and she stumbles over her feet, managing to catch herself.

"What's this about?" Carmen frowned, looking over to Kira on the couch.

On that next morning after that Isaac made a surprise visit to her house, Scott had blown up her phone with texts and calls, saying "I know you're still angry at us, but you need to come over, this is important," regardless of it being 12 in the morning.

"First of all, I just wanted to say that I'm sorry, okay?" He starts, leading her over to the couch next to Kira. "I was stupid and the plan was stupid and- Ugh."

"Cut the bullshit," Carmen rolls her eyes, taking her seat with a loud sigh. "What did you really call me here for? Because I could be sleeping."

"I'm not bullshitting you, I really am sorry, and we really have missed you these past days." Scott frowns genuinely. "And I know that my words don't make up for what I did. I really owe you."

"Okay, can we move on?" Carmen looks down, tugging on her sleeve awkwardly. "You can pay me back later or whatever. What was important?"

Scott inhales deeply before he spurts his proposal, "If you're not in Derek's pack anymore, I need you to join mine."

Carmen looks back up at him with wide eyes and stammers, "Uh- What?"

"This isn't for my benefit, it's for yours," Scott explains, "You're an omega, and I don't know if you've seen what we're up against right now, but it's nothing light. I don't want you running around on your own while demons are frolicking around Beacon Hills."

She couldn't let him know about her new pack. Not yet, at least. So, she tried to keep her heart rate down the best she could as she went along with his speech and pretended to be clueless of what he was talking about.

"Demons?" She cocks her head convincingly, "What demons?"

"They're called the Oni. We don't know what they're looking for yet but at the rave a few nights ago they showed up in a group of 4 and started marking people."

"What do you mean marking people?"

"Neither of us have been marked," Scott motions to himself and Kira, "But it looks like a backwards 5 on the back of the ear. They've marked Lydia, the twins, and Isaac so far. We don't know what it means yet."

Carmen stays silent, pretending to ponder over Scott's information, as if she wasn't there when it happened.

"So, what do you say?" Scott snaps her out of her "Thoughts".

"I-I don't know . ." Carmen sighs, "I'm still skeptical. How do I know you're just not using me as your medic through all of this?"

"Carmen," Scott says sternly, grabbing hold of her hand. "I know I was stupid and that there's no excuse for what I did to you, but I don't want you to end up dead just because of my stupidity. You're an omega, and you need a pack. Please, join mine."

Perfect Scott McCall, always so compassionate and kind. It made her want to puke. Deep down, she knew that she would never fall for his "Angel" facade again, but she still forced a smile and muttered an "I'll think about it."

There was no way she would ever even consider joining his pack.

Carmen couldn't believe his nerve. He used her and neglected her, all to come back days later and beg her to be in their pack. Something obviously told her that there was more to this offer than he was telling her.
