"So this is it" River rested his head against Alice's, his eyes sad and full of want.
"This is it" She whispered.
Then, in a brisk of fate, they both pressed lips and kissed, their tongues fighting and tangling together as if it would keep them together- passion and sadness tangled in soft sighs and grabbing of each other. But then it was done, over.
"See you in the cornfield" they whispered in unison and kissed again.
But instead of chasing Alice. He watched as she ran, before running the opposite way and chasing the cornfield.
