You stayed hidden in the alleys of King's Landing. You knew Joffrey was going to come after you next. You weren't like your sister, Sansa. You always spoke your mind, even when your opinions were against Joffrey or Cersei. Your father had been able protect you before, but now he was dead and you had no one to save you from Joffrey or Cersei's wrath. You knew it wouldn't be long and you were right.

As soon as he was out of Joffrey's earshot, Sandor groaned. He'd been ordered to find and kill you. He really didn't want to do that. You hadn't done anything to deserve it other than to have the unfortunate circumstance of being the daughter of a traitor. He knew you wouldn't be anywhere in the Keep. You weren't stupid. So, Sandor made for the streets.

You weren't difficult to find for Sandor. After all, he'd gotten to know you fairly well, especially what you looked like. When he found you, you were curled up on the ground, trying to stay as hidden as possible. When Sandor stood in front of you, you looked up with fear in your eyes. For a brief moment, neither of you said anything, but then you asked, "Are you going to kill me?" Sandor looked down into the eyes that haunted him every day and shook his head.

He just couldn't do it. You were far too kind and gentle. You didn't deserve to be executed for something you didn't do. "No, little dove. I won't kill ya, but ya need ta leave the city. Tonight." He handed you a small bag of coin he'd found in your father's rooms. You took it with wide eyes and let him help you up. "Stay hidden and be careful," Sandor told you before turning on his heel and leaving you alone again. You gazed after him, mouth agape. You couldn't believe he let you live. Still, you weren't one to look a gift horse in the mouth so you made your way out of the city and toward the unknown.

*time skip*

You smiled brightly when you were reunited with your youngest sister. You wished the circumstances were different, but you couldn't really complain. The Brotherhood without Banners had been protecting you since you ran into them after leaving King's Landing. They treated you well and even trained you to fight, despite the fact that you were a woman. When they found Arya and her friends, you immediately swept your sister into your arms, grateful to see she was alive. Even more unexpected was when the Brotherhood found Sandor.

You simply stared when they took the hood off the large man in front of you. Sandor didn't look any worse for wear. You kept Arya close to you as a trial by combat was declared. Apparently and unsurprisingly, Sandor was accused of several crimes, mostly murder and he had to pay for them. You and Arya followed the Brotherhood out of the inn and toward a large cave where Beric Dondarrion was waiting. You held your breath as you watched Sandor and Beric fight.

When Sandor won, he stalked out of the cave, with you on his heels. "Wait! Please!" you cried, causing him to stop and suck in a deep breath. He hadn't expected to see you again and he cursed the fact that he had. After you'd left King's Landing, Sandor had pushed the unfamiliar feeling he had for you to the back of his mind. Seeing you again brought those feelings back with a vengeance. Still, he couldn't ignore you and he knew it so he turned back around.

Making sure you were alone, you looked up into his brown eyes. "Why?" His brows furrowed, not understanding what you were asking him. "Why didn't you kill me? I know you had orders to do so and I've never known you to shy away from killing anyone, so why didn't you kill me? You could have easily overpowered me," you elaborated. For a moment, you watched as Sandor thought about what he was going to say.

"I could never hurt ya, little dove," he finally said. You cocked you head. "Why not? I'm no different than anyone else." Sandor wasn't sure how to answer that. He didn't know how to tell you that you weren't like everyone else. You were special to him in a way that no one else was or had ever been. He was a man of few words so he wasn't sure how to put his feelings out there in a way you would understand. "Ya are different. I don't love anyone else."

Your eyes widened at his confession. He loved you? The Hound loved you? When you didn't say anything, Sandor turned on his heel and made his way to his horse. Without thinking, you took off after him, having to run to match his long gait. "Sandor, wait!" He turned back just as you reached him. You didn't have time to stop and you crashed right into him. "Ow," you muttered. His armor was harder that you thought. "Are you alright?" he asked, not realizing that his arms had wrapped around you to keep you both on your feet. You nodded, blushing at the contact between the two of you. Before he could say anything else, you pressed up on your tip toes and pressed a kiss to his lips. "I love you too."
