New Territory

Spencer POV

The cab driver dropped me off at a little motel, about 2 miles off the motor way. I paid him the money and got my duffel bag and backpack and walked over to the motel. I looked around for about 20 minutes and I found a sign that said 'office'.

I walked over and went through the door. Sat behind the counter was a small, plump lady. Probably in her late 50's.

"Um, hi. I was wondering if I could get a room please." I asked the lady

"Sure sweetie, 1st or 2nd floor?" she asked looking at me

"2nd please" I replied and smiled

"Ok well here is your key, number 1034, now I just need to see some id and for you to sign these then the room is all yours." She said handing over the key and turning the book around for me to fill in.

"Um is there any possible way for me to leave the signing and id part out, it's just my family life is bad and my parents have been fighting and I sort of ran away." I said giving her a sad look.

"That's alright sweetie, I understand, just fill in the bits you need to and I will figure the rest out later. I'm Rhonda" she said holding out her hand

"Spencer" I replied shaking her hand.

"Well if you need anything I will be just down here but if it is after 10pm I will be in the little house next door and my number is on the phone in your room." She said smiling. I waved at her before picking up my things and walking to my room.

I put the key in the lock and opened the door. I swung the door open then closed it. It was a small room. Bed, sofa, bathroom and tiny kitchen. I put my bags on the floor and I laid down on the bed. My eyes fell shut and I just slept my problems away.

1 week later...

I woke up on Monday morning and began packing my things. I didn't know where I was going but I figured i would just head to the woods and find my way. After I showered and fed myself I walked downstairs to say goodbye to Rhonda

"Hey Rhonda, I just came to say goodbye." I said looking at her

"Leaving already sweetie?" she asked me

"Yeah, it's about time I hit the road." I replied shrugging on my backpack

"And where exactly is that headed?" she asked

I shrugged my shoulders and waved her goodbye before opening the door and crossing the road towards the woods. I didn't think about shifting I just kept running. After about 40 minutes of running I heard something rustling behind the trees. I ignored it and carried on running. Out of nowhere a huge wolf jumped over me and landed right in front of me, causing me to skid to a stop and landed on the ground.

'You're trespassing' the wolf said threw the mind link,"

"I know you can understand me.' it added

"Sorry, I didn't know I mean no harm I was lost and juts passing through." I replied. I have never seen a wolf this big since Nate shifted.

'I don't take kindly to rogues.' the wolf said thrashing it jaw and showing me its teeth.

I shuddered and flinched back

'You need to come with me, the alpha needs to see you before he kills you.' It said and went behind the tree, then the wolf came out, but as a man, maybe 19 or 20.

He walked over to me. I flinched back. How can he be this big and not an alpha.

"I'm not going to hurt you, unless the alpha tells me to" he said before reaching for my arm and helping me up." so why are you running away?" he asked me cocking an eyebrow.

"I don't know what you mean?" I asked. Crap has he figured it out.

"Well, it's very rare to get female rouges, let alone beautiful female rouges." He said smirking

I couldn't help but blush as his smirk grew wider.

"I'm Kyle, the beta of dusk killers." he said stopping and putting his hand out.

"Spencer." I said shaking it back

"That's a really odd name for a girl." He said

"Thanks, I will try not to be offended by that comment," I said walking further ahead without him "You coming?" I asked hand on hip.

He just smiled and shook his head before he continued walking. He stopped me in front of a huge mansion. It was massive with an oak structure. I couldn't help but stare. I got pulled out of my dreams by Kyle pulling on my arm. We just reached the bottom of the house steps when someone stormed out of the house and ran for us. I felt Kyle tense up and I flinched as he stood in front of us.

"Who's this Kyle?" he asked gesturing to me

"This is spencer, I found her on our territory she said she was just passing threw but you know we can never trust rouges." He said looking at me

"Wait, she's a rouge." The man asked, looking me up and down several times.

"Zach, alpha of dusk killer!" he said looking at me

"Well you already know my name so are you going to let me go or kill me, I haven't got all day" I said, regretting it as soon as I said it.

"Ohh, she's got a mouth on her." He said bending down to my level "I'll make you a deal sweetheart, I won't kill you but I won't let you go. If other packs found out I let a rogue go it would cause havoc, so I am willing for you to join my pack. You don't seem like your plotting something and if I find out you are I will rip you up to shreds myself." 

"What if I don't want to be a part of your pack?" I asked

"Then we kill you. It's your choice, just try to make the right one." he said smirking at Kyle who was doing the same back to him.

"Fine, I'll be a part of your pack." I said bluntly

"Excellent." he said picking up my bags

"I can carry them you know." I said reaching for my bags

"What kind of host would I be, making a lady carry her own bags." he said but I could tell he was smirking.

I followed him into the huge house and into the living room where there were 3 boys sitting playing C.O.D on the x-box.

"Guys, this is spencer, she is joining our pack as of today. Spencer this is Isaac, Nick and Xavier" he said pointing them out as he said there names.

I knew with the twins I would get them mixed up. Great.

After 3 hours of settling in I decided to walk around the house a bit. As I reached the bottom of the stairs I heard Zach call me into his office. I walked in. It wasn't hard to find, all I had to do was follow his voice.

He pointed to the chair opposite his desk. I hesitantly sat down. Already I started fidgeting and all I could think was that he was going to kick me out of the pack. When Kyle walked in he sat in the chair next to me.

"You alright?" he whispered to me. I nodded

"Will you stop fidgeting spencer it's really annoying!" Zach said

I stopped moving so I thought about it instead.

"Are you ok?" Zach asked

Before I could speak Kyle beat me to it "No! She is scared! You called her in here to kick her out of the pack" he said. I glared at him and he just shrugged.

"We're not kicking you out spencer, I called you in here to ask you why you ran away and why you ended up on my territory." he asked sitting down on his chair.

I explained my story in front of him and Kyle. After I finished I took a deep breath and signed. It felt so good to get it off my chest.

"I see!" Zach said before him and Kyle got up and left the room.
