Chapter 8

KAYLE

I stared at him. It was like everything went slow motion. The girls, including Crystal stopped scratching me and pulling my hair.

"Uhm, Cal," she nervously said.

When I had the chance, I pushed them away and ran to him.

"Cal!" I nearly threw myself to him, I was panting real hard.

"Kayle, sshh," he kissed my head and said, "Stay here okay?"

I nod and watched him walk towards them.

"Crystal," he said, anger is obvious in his voice. "Anong problema?"

"Cal," she began crying. "Siya 'di ba? Siya ang dahilan kung bakit mo ko iniwan? Inagaw ka niya sa akin!"

"Crystal pwede ba? Hindi niya ako inagaw sa'yo."

"Hindi! Mang-aagaw siya!" she started punching Cal's chest.

I stared at them, emotions mixing up inside me.

I never a girl can be this desperate.

Her friends are just standing at her back.

Cal gently pushed her away. "I'm sorry Crystal. Sorry dahil gago ako."

"H-huh? Ibig bang sabihin niyan..."

"Ibig kong sabihin, gago ako dahil niloko kita."

"Ano?!" sigaw niya.

"I just thought you were a catch, but I didn't really loved you at all. I'm sorry."

I stopped.

I stared at Cal.

He admits he's been a jerk to Crystal, and apologized. I hope it'll get better now.

I was shocked when Crystal suddenly slapped him.

"Cal!" I shouted.

I ran to him and stood infront, facing Crystal. Then slapped her hard, "Don't you ever hurt my bestfriend!"

She looked shocked for a moment, "How dare you!"

She was about to slap me when Cal held her hand. "Enough!" He pushed her away, she nearly hit her back hard on the wall. "What's wrong with you Crys?! I said I'm sorry okay?! 'Wag mong idamay dito si Kayle! Siya pa mismo ang nagsabi sa akin na mag-sorry sa'yo tapos ganito ang gagawin mo? 'Wag mong ubusin pasensiya ko hanggang sa makalimutan kong babae ka. Damn!"

Those were his last words before he held my hand and we stormed out of the room.

On our way out, I can't help my tears from falling down.

He stopped and faced me, "Kayle," he cupped my face. "Okay ka lang ba?"

I didn't answer him, instead I just stared at his eyes full of worry.

"Let's just go," I turned and walked away.

Pagdating ko sa parking lot, kitang-kita ko ang pag-aalala ni Cielo.

"Sis! Anong nangyari sa'yo?!" hinawakan niya ang braso ko.

Napasigaw ako sa sakit. "'Wag diyan, Ciel, masakit."

"Cal! What the hell happened?!" tanong ni Wade.

Hindi ko na sila pinakinggan at dumiretso sa kotse.

Nakita ko ang sarili ko sa salamin. Ang gulo ng buhok ko. Ang dami ring galos sa braso ko.

Napapikit ako.
