“Good morning Kai.” I chirped as he enters the room. He was wearing a frown. “Woke up on the wrong side of the bed Kai? I’ll make you some coffee.” I offered grabbing a cup.

“What’s going on here?” He asked in a gruff voice.

“Definitely on the wrong side of the bed.” I answer grinning as I pour him coffee and placed a muffin in front of him.

“You know for a genius you’re pretty jolly.” Kris said to me, smiling a bit. I wonder what he looks like when he has a full megawatt smile on?

“What are geniuses suppose to be like Kris?” I asked him but looking worriedly at Kai who is glaring at Kris.

“You know, cold, analytical, and diabolical with glasses and lab coats.” Kris answered.

“There are some who are like that, but the rest are like normal people. Just don’t ask them a question on a topic they like and you will have one long discussion.” I answer waving the whisk like a scepter.

“what topic do you like?” Kris asked, we were both ignoring Kai and his glares. I don’t know what’s up with him.

“Currently I’m into wolves.” I answer grinning cheekily. “They’re such fascinating creatures don’t you think?”

“Yeah I think they are.”Kris answered, a moment later I jump as Kai slammed his palms on the counter.

“What is your problem Kai?” I asked him confused.

“You are!” He answered heatedly.

“What did I do?” I asked him still confused.

“What did you tell him?” Kai answered with a question.

“I’m lost Kai. What are you so mad about so early?” I ask him.

“I think it is regarding the fact that you told me everything Florence.” Kris said quietly, no problems with saying my name. He has a strange accent too. “Someone has been eavesdropping.”

I see Kai going red with anger.

“Good thing too because you are telling a stranger about your identity which is supposed to be a secret!” Kai answered glaring at him.

“Kai calm down please.” I asked him.

“No.” He answered leaning forward to glare at me.  I back away hastily and trip causing me to fall and land on my hands. The pain shot right through my shoulder. I grimaced.

“Florence, you okay?” Kris asked as I nod slowly. He pushed Kai away roughly as he helped me up. He walked back to Kai and grabbed his shoulder. “You be more careful. She has an injury and you’ll make it worse.” Kris said to him. Kai looked at me, a flash of guilt in his eyes before glaring back at Kris.

“Don’t act like you know her.” Kai growled. Yeah he growled. If this wasn’t a scene where he was about to tackle Kris I would have laughed. He grabbed Kris shirt.

“Yo! Clam down Kai!” I said as I rushed to go between them. Kris silently grabbed Kai’s hand and squeeze hard. Kris went back to the ground but Kai’s hand remained firm on Kris’s collar. What is his problem?

“I admit I don’t know her, I only know what she wanted me to know. And do you think I can’t keep a secret? I have been hiding one since I was born.” Kris said darkly.
