*** Thanks for the comments! I just needed a bit of encouragement to get back on track! I don't know when I'll be able to update again, I already started the next chapter but my classes are about to end. That means vacations, right? Wrong. That means exams and hand-ins. *insert painfully loud scream*

Well, I hope you like it! Oh, spoiler alert: you won't***

Lucca had been hesitant when I requested some time apart to think things through. Afterwards he seemed off, distracted and deep in thought. But after those first few minutes he went back to normal. We ate dinner peacefully and he took me home afterwards.

We didn't speak throughout the week, he only texted me on Friday to inform me about the dinner and at what time he was picking me up.

- Are you even listening to me? – Rach asked, throwing a pen in my direction.

- What? – I replied confused.

- What's in that phone more important than me ranting about my ex living abroad?

- Ugh, I have dinner with Lucca's parents tonight.

- You are kidding, right?

- No, they invited us and we had no choice. It's not like they know about our problems.

- You should seriously stop making excuses to stay with him for longer, it's like you are delaying the moment of your decision in fear it will be to split up. If you want to give it a try, go ahead.

- But what will happen when he cheats agai- Rach cut my sentence by exclaiming:

- Stop it with that crap! You don't know if he will. Anyways, what are you wearing tonight?

- You are such a girl... - I sighed, rolling my eyes, but then added: - I googled the restaurant and it seemed pretty fancy. I'm thinking that pink nude dress you got me for my birthday last year.

- Oh, good choice!

- Well, what were you telling me about Tristan?

----

I left the office feeling dizzy. I didn't have time to eat lunch today due to the problems with the fabrics we started having lately. Plus, Rach had spoken about her love life for the whole afternoon non-stop, she drove me insane.

I got home and ate something at last; I didn't have anything since breakfast. Then I started a video chat with Briana while I got ready. I only ended the chat when Lucca texted me he was downstairs.

- Good evening, miss. – He greeted me not looking up from his phone yet since he was texting or something on it.

- Hey. So, what time are we supposed to meet them there?

- Uhm, yeah... fifteen minutes ago. – Lucca replied, dropping his phone and starting the car.

We drove there in silence, but after a while we started talking about our day. I asked him why wasn't Aaron in another car or driving us, and he said something about being a busy night in one of the clubs, but didn't elaborate much. We got to the restaurant and he gave his keys to the valet before going in. He wasn't even asked for his name; the manager saw him and led us to a table on the second floor by a window.

- Finally! I was just about to call you guys. – Karen said before getting up to greet us like everyone else. It was just a family dinner: Americo, Karen, Helia and Nicolai.

- Sorry, we have a busy night at the club and got caught up with some paper work that needed to be settled before tonight.

- Everything in order? – Americo asked string at him intently and Lucca simply nodded.
