"You're so lucky..."

"Why do you keep saying that?"

"Nothing... nevermind.."

"Meloetta.. I can tell when something is wrong with you.. now spill the beans."

"It's just..."

"C'mon..."

"You don't have to run all the time.. from people who want to catch you.."

"Meloetta..."

It was true, being the famous legendary Pokemon with a beautiful voice, you had to relocate often. The last time you had to, you ended up getting hurt badly. Thankfully, the Serperior that is now your best friend heard your cries of pain and saved you. It's not that you weren't thankful for him, but you had been here awhile, and didn't know when you'd have to leave again... It scared you; you barely sang anymore.

"I'm just scared.." You admitted. Serperior sighed and curled his body around you gently.

"Tell you what.." He murmured, snuggling his seemingly huge head next to yours. "I'll protect you, no matter what; and if you have to move again, I'll come with you."

"Really? Promise?" Your face lit up.

He closed one eye. "Promise..." He closed the other, and you fell asleep with him feeling more safe than ever in a long time.
