Chapter 2

•Katelyn•

I woke up to somebody lightly knocking on my door. I moaned trying to ignore it, but it kept going.

"Who is it?" I mumbled. A girl with long blond hair and lead boots walked in. "Oh hey Emma."
"Good morning Katelyn, breakfast is almost ready and we have to get you dressed for your little date." She winked at me. My face turned pink.

"How did you kn-"
"I was walking by your room after the reset and heard you and Enoch. You two are so cute!" My face turn redder. "Well come on!" She tossed me a nice pink dress. "Put this on, I think it will be flattering on you."
As Emma turned around while I got into the pink dress. 'Man it really is flattering.'
"Ok now let me do your hair. And don't worry I'm not going to make it look too fancy, just simple." She started to straitened my hair. Once she was done we began to walk down the staircase and into the dinning room. There was a seat next to Enoch open. He looked up at me and his mouth dropped open slightly.

'Wow she's so pretty.' Came Enoch's voice in my head. I walked over to the empty chair and I was about to sit in it when someone bumped into me and stole the seat, Olive.
"Um excuse me? I was going to sit there."
"Well I got here first. So too bad." Olive smirked.
"You're acting like a child Olive, please move." This made Enoch snicker. Olive's face became red with anger.
"Move Olive." Enoch glared at her.
"Oh come on Enoch baby." She leaned over, grabbing his arm, and sitting her head on his shoulder. He pulled his arm away and stood up.
"I think I lost my appetite." He turned his attention to me "Come to my room after you're done eating Katelyn, then we can hang out."
He left the room and headed for his own. I smirked at the disappointed look on Olive as I took a seat at the other end of the table. She glared at me the entire time I ate, but I just smiled. I didn't want her to ruin this, I guess you could call it, date.

After I was done eating I excused myself and headed over to Enoch's room. I knocked once and the door opened. He opened the door wider motioning me to come in. I looked around his room to see jars of hearts and other organs on shelfs. On top of a desk there was two disturbing dolls, one had a crab body and claw while the other was a normal doll with a scissor hand.
"Uhm Katelyn I was wondering if you'd like to mess around with our peculiarities?" Enoch asked me.
"Yeah sure." I responded as we walked over to his desk. He grabbed a jar full of small hearts. He placed one heart in both of the dolls, he put his hand on the crab doll. It immediately sat up and began walking around the desk.
"Wow."
"So you said you can kinda bring things to life aye? Well how does yours work?" He asked me curiosity in his eyes.
"Oh um just the same way as you do it, but it's very hard for me and it's very tiresome"
"If you don't want to, you don't have to." He said, but it made me want to do it even more. I placed my hand on the scissor doll and concentrated. After a minute of pure silence the doll stood up. Enoch's face lit up and he smiled at me.
"Great job Katelyn. Now watch this." He leaned in a whispered something into the doll's ear. The dolls turned to each other in an attack position, they started fighting. The crab doll grabbed the other one and flung it all around. But right as it was about to cut its head off the scissor doll cut open its chest and its heart fell out.
"That was so cool Enoch!" I chimed jumping up and down while clapping my hands.
"Really?"
"Really."
We stood there for a moment just looking at each other, when Enoch started leaning in. He stopped when we were only centimeters away from our lips touching. I decided to close the gap and I leaned in the rest of the way.

•Enoch•

I started leaning in. 'Wait what if she doesn't want to be kissed?' I stopped when we were only centimeters away, I was about to pull away when she put her lips on mine. Her lips were so soft, so sweet. I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her closer, she also wrapped her arms around my neck. We stayed like that, kissing each other softly. When the door opened and in came Millard. We pulled away immediately both of our faces red, Katelyn's with embarrassment, mine with anger.
"Oh um I see you two are busy I-i guess I'll come back later. Ok. Bye." He turned and left as fast as he could.
We stood there in awkward silence until she finally cleared her throat, "so um does this mean we're like 'a thing' now?" She looked up at me, a little bit of hope in them.
"Yeah I mean if you want to Kate."
"Kate?"
"Oh sorry do you not like that?" I asked a little worried. She pecked me on the cheek.
"Yeah I like it, its cute. Is it fine with you if I go talk to Emma for a while?" She asked.
"Totally you don't have to spend every second with me if you don't want to."
"Thanks." She wrapped her thin arms around me then turned and walked out the door.
'I'm the luckiest guy in the entire world.' I thought to myself.
'Yes you are.' Came Katelyn's voice in my head. I quietly laughed to myself, its going to be strange trying to get used to that.
