The following day as you ventured out of the case, and back into the world. Unfortunately you had to go to work. Working at the Ministry for Magic wasn't the best job, but it was employment none the less. Apparating into your office, you saw it was just the way you had left it.

The same stacks of papers littered your large, hardwood desk. During your day off it looked as though it had accumulated more papers and files, letters and so on. Amongst these new papers sat a formal looking envelope with a blood red wax seal.

Walking over you saw the rushed scrawl of your name written in jet black ink on the front of the envelope. Opening the envelope you saw a small folded piece of parchment.

Written in the same style as the writing on the exterior with many scratchy lines and ink drips. The letter had written out a location and a signature, along with inside the envelope sat a silver ring with a hazy red stone. It was an invitation in a way, yet you hadn't a clue who the signature belonged to. You couldn't tell Newt about this.

Stuffing the letter and envelope into your pocket you heard footsteps outside the door to your office. As the foot steps ceased you drew your wand. You couldn't risk being attacked again. You still hadn't recovered fully and were still on edge from the other night.

As the door drew open you sighed in relief. It was only one of your coworkers with another packet of paperwork.

"Oh! You're back. How was your day off?" The older woman asked.

"It was fine, thanks. Do you have any idea who dropped me off papers yesterday?" You asked casually.

"I dropped some off. There was also a letter set aside for you from the main branch. Did you get it?" The woman asked.

"I did, Shelly. The only thing is... it's very important that I know who dropped it off to me." You said.

"I was told it was from an eccentric, hooded character. But you didn't hear it from me." Shelly said, with a anxious look over her shoulder to the open office door.

"I see. Well if you hear anything else about it, or anything about the beast disturbances please let me know." You said to the woman.

"So you were put on that case! No one said who took the case so I assumed they gave it to the Aurors or just to the Americans." Shelly said.

"The Americans?" You asked.

"Yeah. They have a few American Aurors working on that case here in London." She said.

"Who." You demanded.

"There's this one las named Porpentina Goldstein. She's such a doll. I think you two would get along well." Shelly said with a smile.

Your heart dropped to your stomach. There was no way. This couldn't be happening to you now. Just as you thought you finally had a chance with someone. The woman Newt had just left was back. Why was it that Newt had infatuated you so much. You had known something was bound to happen, yet you hadn't thought it would be so soon.

"What's that face for?" Shelly asked.

"I think I'm about to be sick." You said, as you rushed to the trash bin beside your desk.

As your body became overtaken by dry heaves, you heard the woman's shocked gasp. Shelly dropped the packet of papers on your desk and knelt down beside you.

"Are you alright, dear?" Shelly asked as she rubed your back soothingly.

"I'm going to have to be. I have work to be done." You replied shakily.

"I'll get you something for your heaves dear. Just you wait. Take it easy." Shelly said before she stood.

You couldn't take this. You hadn't known Newt for more than a week, and you were already about to lose him.

You didn't know why you felt the need to puke. You were sure she was a nice person. Newt had feelings for her so she must be. You respected Newt's judgment to a slight degree as too at least to give him the benefit of the doubt.

As you sat at your desk you looked through the many papers. One of which was a letter stating that it would be beneficial to work in joint with the small American unit of Aurors on your field case. It was only a suggestion at least.

Now you really felt sick. There was no way to avoid her, and worst of all Newt would be near her for some time. You would just reject the request. That was all you could do. You could tip off the other group, but you weren't willing to work in joint with them. That was just unfathomable.

You were not going to take orders from some interlopers who didn't know you from a hole in the ground. This was your case, and Newt was your partner. That wasn't going to change just because this Tina one wanted Newt back.
