Chapter 24: Yes

Peter's P.O.V.

I rolled over in my bed and snuggled up in the sheets. My eyes opened to take in the brightness of the room. I shut them and shoved my face into my pillow. Then I heard someone's footsteps start heading towards my bed. I slightly rolled over to see who it was. It was y/n with a tray of food. How long have I been sleeping?

"Peter?"

She questioned as I smirked in reply. I heard the tray hit my nightstand as she let out a sigh. The mattress next to me sunk a little as a hand grazed my shoulder.

"Peter, get up."

I groaned before gently grabbing her and placing her beside me. My arms wrapped around her as I kissed her nose.

"Peter, we have a lot to do today..."

I didn't budge and I pulled her tight against me.

"Hey dad!"

Those words made me shoot out of bed. I got dressed in a manner of seconds before realizing that Charles wasn't even there. Y/n was laughing her butt off as she saw my reaction.

"That wasn't funny."

She hopped off the bed and made her way over to me.

"But it got you out of bed."

"Rude."

I scoffed at her before I noticed someone came in.

"Hey, I was looking for the two of you."

"Hey Charles!"

I said as Y/n went over to give him a quick hug . Then Charles made eye contact with me and sent me a telepathic thought.

"You have permission."

Y/n turned over to me and saw my shocked expression.

"Peter? Are you okay?"

I immediately went over to her and wrapped my arm around her shoulders.

"Never better."

"Anyways you two, I've decided to cancel everything that was planned today for everyone because everyone has been working really hard these past few months. I thought everyone could use a break."

Then Charles left the room with a little smirk on his face. When he left the room I quickly followed him out the door closing it behind me.

"Charles, wh... what made you decide that you..."

"Peter, just do it before I change my mind."

"Okay okay I won't let you down sir."

"Do it by today."

"Wait what?"

"I know you can work fast, Peter."

"But.."

He just continued wheeling himself down the hallway. There was no reason for me to run after him considering I didn't have any time to waste. I ran back into the room where y/n was standing there all confused. She walked up to me with a stern look.

"What happened?"

I immediately pulled her into a soft kiss. She hesitantly kissed me back as she wrapped her arms around my neck.

"So are you gonna tell me or kiss me some more?"

She broke the kiss and gave me a somewhat stern look.

"Maybe later."

I smirked as I started to guide her to the door.

"Peter, what are you doing?"
