"Amy do you want to tell me something?" Mom asked me as we were having breakfast.

"What? What do you mean?" I asked wondering what on earth was she talking about.

She couldn't possibly know could she?

"You've been quite uneasy for awhile now it's like you have something you want to say to me. I know you Amy. So spill." mom said to me.

"It's nothing." I said shaking my head before taking a bite out of a forkful of scrambled eggs.

"Don't give me that." Mom said staring intently at me. "I know that you have something that you want to mention so please go right ahead."

"Alright." I sighed. "I spoke with Marcos again last weekend."

"See, I knew it." Mom replied cocking her head to the side. "Let me guess, he tried fulling your head with a whole lot of foolishness and excuses."

"He did try to explain himself to me and apologized for not being there for me from the beginning."
I said to her.

"And whatever lies he fed you, do you believe them?" Mom asked raising a brow.

"I don't know. He said things that Carter- his son- he told me some of the same things. So I'm guessing they are true but that still doesn't excuse any of his actions or what he did to you. I told him just as much." I said to her.

"What exactly did he tried to explain?" Mom asked curiously.

"It's a lot of things. I think it'd be better if he told you them instead of me." I said to her." He wants to talk to you."

"What? No way." Mom said shaking her head. "Screw Marcos and his lies."

"Mom please, I know you're mad. And you were hurt severely and I'm no way defending him or condoning his actions, but I just think it'd be best if you hear him out." I said to her. "I'm not saying to forgive him or anything but just hearing what he has to say and try letting go. Harbouring a long term grudge isn't healthy for anyone."

"Amy, I don't know. It's not as easy as it sounds." Mom said to me. "I know it's been years but it still feels fresh. It still hurts."

"I know mom. But maybe if you talk to him and finally get out all those pent up feelings, it could help somehow." I replied.

"I really don't know Amy. I really don't know." Mom sighed.

Mom and I talked some more as we finished with breakfast and I helped her in cleaning up and washing the dishes. Mom had finally agreed to go talked with Marcos but not before telling me that I should probably be prepared to bail her out of jail. Mom left for work shortly after as I went back over to Lucas's apartment. I was so bored just staying in and not having much to do. Greta was there and sure we talked and everything but I still felt bored so I decided to go out.

I remembered last week when Lucas and I talked, he had mentioned that he liked my natural hair so I decided that although I love my new hair and thought purple hair was cool, maybe I should go back to my natural hair color. I decided to go get my hair done and maybe do some shopping or just eye shop. I got dressed in dark skinny jeans, black patterned sleeveless blouse with a white blazer and a pair of aquamarine flats and a black purse before leaving out.
