Female Kellin. Enjoy

She paints in grey
She closes her eyes
Til fireworks and palm trees almost
Look alike

I looked down to the raven haired beauty in my arms, her pale skin as much a contrast as you could get to my deeply tanned one. She suddenly looked up to me, the stars reflected in her blue green eyes like a photograph as she whispered "I won't be here in a year"
"Kells, don't think like that." I muttered and hugged her closer to me, her frail form shaking.

When we finally pulled away, she climbed into the front seat of my truck, and I sighed knowing our time for the night was up. I dropped her off in front of her house and she gave me a swift kiss before running up the driveway, leaving me to drive around the streets of San Diego as I thought about what she said.

I take the long road to
Think and wonder why
I can't sleep with all this sunlight.
If there's no evidence of us
Why can't that be enough?

-8 months later-

Kellin and I broke up three weeksater, and I hadn't seen her since. I was in a bar, talking to my friend Tony when the door chimed and a girl walked in, dressed in tight black leggings, TOMs and a black bomber jacket a red tank top under it. She removed her beanie and her ebony locks fell out, hanging to her shoulders. She walked to the bar and sat next to me, and my body got chills as she turned towards, pink lips upturned in a smile, her blue green eyes brimming with tears. "Hey Vic."
"Kelly?"
"Aren't you supposed to buy a girl a drink?" She grinned, and I let out a sigh before ordering two beers from the bartender.

Not even ten minutes later, we were both completely hammered and kissing in the hallway, her lips and taste exactly the same. "Kells, why?" I whispered and she out her forehead against mine. "Vic..." She whispered, and I let out a quiet sigh into her hair as I hugged her. "I don't mean to drag you down, you taste just like you always do."

Isabelle watches me from
Far away
If give anything just to surround your dreams

We stumbled out of the bar, arms around each other as we laughed. "Is there a train to yours at 4 am?" I laughed, checking the time as she shook her head. "Time to walkkkk." She drunkenly sang, and I nodded, watching as she danced into the road, her head thrown back and eyes closed.

She didn't even see the 18 wheeler coming.

Neither did I.

Back in the day when I was young
I'm not a kid anymore
But sometimes I sit and wish I was
A kid again.
