"Rain drop!"

"Drop top." Ryan said so dry.

Squinting my eyes, I mugging him.

"What?" He laughed

"We not friends no more." I helped him with his tie.

"How you know how to tie a tie?" He laughed, ignored my comment.

"My daddy." I simply answered, "I was like five, but I still remember. Which is very weird." I thought about.

"Nah it's not weird, that something significant in your life." Ryan shrugged. "Where-"

"I like how you wore my tie, I brought you." I cut him off smiling.

"There you go doin' it again." He grabbed my waist.

"Do what?" I frowned.

"Shuttin' me out. Baby stop doin' that." Ryan looked me in my eyes.

"Sorry." I played with one of his bottom buttons on his shirt. "Every person I ever let in always change up."

"I'm still here.." He lift mychin up. "Still the same nigga."

"My daddy use to pick me up ever weekend till I was seven, then one day he just stop showing up." I removed myself from his embrace.

"He just stop coming just like that." Ryan snapped his fingers.

"Yea." I nodded "These?" I pointed at his black patented leather dressing shoes.

"Yea." He sat on his bed. "What your mama tell you?"

"That he wasn't shit, he ain't never gonna be shit, he never been shit-"

"Okay okay!!" Ryan laugh taking the shoes out my hand.

"I'm just sayin'." I giggled "That's what she said." I sat next to him on the bed.

Putting my legs over one of his, he smacked his teeth.

"Don't wrinkle my pants." He leaned over tying his shoe.

"Shut up." I rubbed my hand over his waves.

"Ryan you better be ready!" Ryan's mama yelled, before entering his room. "Oh look at youu, stand up stand up!" She demanded.

Moving my leg he stood up, smooth his pants, with his hands.

"You did pretty good JoJo." She examined Ryan's attire, tightening his tie.

"Thanks mama." I smiled

"How you know I didn't tie it?"

"Cause you not that talented, and I know my child."

"You don't know nothing old lady." He joked with her.

"Keep playing." She raised her hand.

"Okay ma dang!" Ryan flinched a little, blocking.

"Now come on, you got to be there before us for line up."

"I'm bout to go right now." He walked over to his bed grabbing his phone and keys. "See you later baby." Ryan kissed my forehead. "Love you ma." Kissing her cheek, he walked out the room.

"There goes my baby." She sighed.

"There goes my babbby ohh girl look at you!" I start singing.

"Oh here you go, ruining the moment." She shook her head walking out the room.

"Bet you did." He chuckled, pulling me between his legs.

"Maann it's so hot!" Ryan's older brother, Don walked in from the backyard.

"No it's cold." Kayla, Ryan's older sister, walked in behind Don.

"I don't recall talking to you."

"I'm talkin' to yo square head ass tho." Kayla sat beside Ryan and I.

"Don't y'all start!" Mama yelled

"Y'all relationship goals." Kayla admired Ryan and I.

"Thanks K." Ryan smirked.

Rolling my eyes, I try moving out his grip, but he wouldn't let me go.

"Let me go before I grab your ears." I threatened.

"Why you never home you always over here?" Don admired us.

"Cause she can." Kayla spoke before anyone could. "Why you damn near thirty still leaving with your mama?"

I snickered, as he mugged me and Kayla.

"Can I buy a vowel?" She cupped her ear. "Thought so, niggas always wanna say something but not in a better living themselves."

"Whatever." Don walked away.
