~ITS A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE- I UPDATED~

Hello everyone!

New readers, welcome! Old readers- hi again it's me the unreliable updater, thank you for sticking by me even though I am evidently horrible at updating and keeping promises.

If you don't want to read all this - I'm a rambler I know- skip to the bottom, I've summarised it all.

I would just like to say a massive thank you to people who have been voting and commenting and basically showing this fic some love. Whenever I reread it, I find it a bit cringe-y and immature and some of my writing is just... bad! But your guys' support means the world to me and I am trying to motivate myself to finish the story. I mean self reflection is good and all but I gotta do something about it for it to be worth it. So at the end of all this (if we eventually get there ha ha ha) I'll probably edit it all. Spelling is my worst enemy sighs

There's a lot to still come, but I can't promise that I will be updating regularly. Truth is my life has been turned upside down recently and I want to explain myself to you guys.

1) Uni has been crazy stressful. I used to be an avid reader of Wattpad (still am! Side note: recently read TLVS and holy smokes is that a good read!) and always get annoyed when writers say they get busy with uni stuff like come on you have barely any timetabled stuff compared to school. But guys it's legit. Uni can get demanding especially during end of term.

2) I've also started working (yay me) and so that's taking up a lot of my time.

3) I've sort of touched on this already but I'm suffering from a major case of writer's block. I mean I know the overall story arc and what's going to happen but the minor details and developing all of it is just super hard right now. I want this to be a good fanfic. And I feel like I'm putting tons of pressure on myself to do that. I always wanted this fanfic to be something I write when I get too stressed and need to take my mind off things and at the start it was like that. Basically I'm just trying to reconnect with my passion for writing and this story and that's going to take some time - so please be patient! At the same time I totally understand if you give up on this.. but please pretty please don't? Thanks

3.5) I'm a perfectionist. My boyfriend says I'm a fake one cause I wouldn't be in this position if I am, but like idk (I just tell him to shut up when he says that). I like everything to be a certain standard and that includes my writing. I also tend to put more on my plate than I can handle in one go, so often I feel like I really want to write but I can't because I'm busy with x y z and if I do it would be super rushed and not something that I'd actually publish. So to combat that I've been writing little bits every now and then. I've been working on Chap 42 for like 3 weeks now on and off. So when you guys say to update- know that I am slowly slowly working on an update

SO TO SUMMARISE:

- Uni is hard.

- Work is hard.

- Writer's block is hard.

- I'm just a moaner who complains about everything in life

No, but seriously, THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone showing this some love, I hope you continue to do so! Also to the people adding my book to their reading lists/libraries- you guys are the real G (sorry idk slang language- I tried). I hope you enjoyed the last chapter and don't worry, I'm like 100% certain the next update will be within the year.... joking!

Keep commenting and voting and telling me what you think (good or bad, but please be nice about it- I'm a sensitive soul though I seem thick skinned)

Okay that's all for now!

~*Safiya*~

As per usual this will probs get deleted

PS lmao I know there's like <30 people who actually regularly read this but like its 29 more than I've ever had on my work
