You had taken a lot of time off to completely heal from the stab wound and that gave you enough and more time to grieve over your boyfriend in your hospital bed. The fact that even though this was his fault, he never came to visit you once, nor did his friends, while you were lying in a hospital gown with tubs sticking in and out of you and the fear of reopening your stitched every time you moved.

Though after a month and a half you had just about enough of being the girl that turns into a mess when they get dumped. You started eating your meals and had such a fierce determination to get out of the stinkin' hospital that your nurses had to do a checkup on you to see if you were alright and you took the rest of the month to recover before you left the hospital.

Now it had been 2 months and 3 weeks since Lloyd had broken up with you and you were feeling like yourself again. You were definitely determined to catch up on everything you missed. You helped your best friend's mother plan her 2nd wedding and signed up for lots of extra curriculars so you could salvage what was left of your grade. Of course you were upset that things between you and Lloyd hadn't worked out but more than anything you were angry that he didn't have a shred of respect for you to break it off to your face.

Soon enough you were flourishing, thriving and at the top of your game, showing everyone that a battle wound wouldn't hold you down. Your parents were the most proud of your recent game change but albeit a little worried that you hadn't recovered fully but you were happy with the extra attention you were receiving from them.

The time spent in the hospital was really eye-opening for you and eventually you started volunteering at childrens hospitals for those who were less fortunate than you. You had wished someone had come to pretend like everything was okay while laying in that bed and now you were doing the same for the kids.

Coincidentally you happened to be having a one-on-one session with a boy who had suffered a terrible car accident and his legs were paralyzed. It was no surprise that he loved the ninja like all the other citizens but you had never expected him to send a letter, requesting to meet him. What you didn't expect more was that they'd show up.

As you walked into the big room that the kids used to play and get used to their injuries in their own time, you squealed, "Lucy! How's my little girl doing?!"

The little blind girl stumbled and ran towards you and it warmed your heart to see how fast she was able to find you. You lifted the squealing bundle of joy in your arms and gave her a hug.

"How are the rest of my darlings doing?" You cooed as you walked through the room, ruffling the kids legs and giggling as one of the younger kids jumped into your arms and you balanced both of the kids of either sides of your waist. The other kids squealed about wanting to be carried by you.

"Now, now, everyone behave, I have pudding!" You giggled seeing their faces brighten up as you passed the little cups and cartoon spoons around.

"So what's new?" You asked, pulling Vanessa, a little girl whose vocal chords were damaged, into your lap. She visibly perked up and started tapping your chest to tell you. She took her time and so did you as she struggled to show the proper sign language but you corrected her when you needed to and complimented her at the end of it.

"The Ninja? Here?" You were confused and a little ticked but you didn't want that to get to you.

She nodded and guided you to the other room and you scooped both her and Lucy into you arms, Lucy searching for the doorknob and pushing it open while you thanked her with a kiss to her temple.

There stood the 6 Ninja is their gis standing before James, the child whose legs were paralyzed. You walked over to him, ignoring their figures stiffening and giving him and light peck on his forehead, "I saved a cup of pudding for you sweetie."

James beamed and Vanessa wiggled out of your arms to help him into his wheelchair and wheeled him to the main room. You stood there, balancing Lucy on your waist and adjusting her clothes before Kai cleared his throat, "(Y/N)! What are you doing here?"

"I could ask the same thing to you? These are kinda my kids that you're visiting." Lucy giggled at being called your kid and buried her face into you neck.

"Ah, just here for a visit." Jay said awkwardly while Lloyd hid behind him. You tried to maintain the cheeriest smile and tone, not to bring a bad example to the kids.

"So, how're you recovering?" Cole asked next and you smiled bitter-sweetly, "I'm very lucky to be part of that 30% chance of living. 3 months should be more than enough to recover from something like that but thank you for asking."

You took a look at everyone's faces and made a decision to leave before it got anymore awkward.

Your back turned to them, you said, "I'm correct to assume that you're going to try and avoid the time slots that I have with these beautiful kids, yes?" Lucy giggled as you tickled her belly lightly.

That was just an ominous way of saying, 'You're all a bunch of cowards.'
